“Very nice hotel with a certain British flair of history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

By chance I got to know Hotel Britannia - a good friend of mine had invited me for Dinner - shortly ago. The meal was excellent and the Hotel seemed to be quite nice.
So I decided to book six days to stay there...and I was really pleased. Only the room was a bit small, but service, food and friendly atmosphere had been very good.
The dining room is nice and quiet.
A bit disappointing was the poor breakfast - it should be a greater variety of bacon, ham and eggs, cheese ...
The friendly waitresses and Luca Gualtieri weighed out that Minus. So alltogether worth coming again...

Last July we spent our summer holidays at Hotel Britannia and we had a wonderful time. Having been a regular guest at the hotel when I was a child myself, we decided to go back with our 3 years old son and we haven’t regretted it a single moment. The rooms are very clean, the food is excellent and the staff is always helpful and friendly. My son enjoyed the little playground and the swimming pool. The private beach is very relaxing and there is a great atmosphere. In short: a great place to spend your summer holidays!

Last summer we spent our summer holidays in Hotel Britannia, Cesenatico, Italy. We were there for more than three weeks and really had a wonderful time. The family Gualtieri runs the hotel in a most friendly and welcome atmosphere. The hotel is situated in the centre of Cesenatico but lies a t some distance from the main road in a way that traffic does not influence your rest at the hotel. The rooms are excellent as is the food, both in the restaurant and on the beach. Each day fresh menus, salads and sandwiches on the beach that are payable. Importantly, also the staff at the reception, those who are cleaning the rooms and are working in the restaurant are always most kind and helpful. The swimming pool is perfect, kept clean the whole day by a most gentle man who also give swimming lessons to children. Clean towels are constantly available at the swimming pool. In the evenings, the large terrace is romantic, quiet and most pleasant for a drink, reading and enjoying the warm evenings. All together, certainly thanks to the family Gualtieri and their staff, we had a lovely summer holiday which we would like to recommend.

The Britannia is a unique hotel, for many years we spend our holidays in Cesenatico and this year we have been delighted with the hotel that we choose. It is very elegant and sophisticated yet retaining an antique air.The staff could not be more helpful and the restaurant service was tip top.We cannot wait to return next year.

I was looking for a hotel with a see view, close to the beach and with a private beach with space enough for my two sons and I have found it. Moreover I like places with a history to feel and tell. I've found the family that owns the hotel helpful and nice.

We stayed here when we visited Cesenatico for a wedding last month. The staff were friendly and attentive, the hotel is very clean (with modern en-suite facilities) and the location is superb. We preferred to eat in the town's many excellent restaurants, so booked B & B but our friends on half board said the evening meals were very good. However, the breakfast choices were a bit limited.

A lovely owner run beachfront hotel which has been in the same family since the 1920s. If you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday I doubt if you could do better. Although Cesenatico is a busy bustling Italian seaside town, the hotel's private beach is very relaxing - non residents are quickly moved on. The hotel has been renovated over the last three or four years and some of them now have very modern bathrooms with jacuzzi type showers. When booking it is a good idea to ask for an updated room with modern bathroom,

The food is excellent with a good wine list. There is a swimming pool which although it has a children's area is not very good for adult non-swimmers who just like to lig around in the pool as it is qutie deep.

There is a beach bar which serves good salads, sandwiches, drinks etc.

All in all a nice relaxing holiday - the Italians of course are very child friendly
