“Excellent experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

Hotel Alberi Del Paradiso and its helpful staff played an important role when our family spent an unforgettable off season holiday week at Cefalù. All the hotel facilities and the classic suite we stayed in were nice, spacious and clean. Our room was also quiet. Breakfasts were diverse, almost overwhelming. The well-being center resides almost in paradise at least from a Finnish point of view. We received also wellness treatments as a special offer which was a nice surprise, as well as a birthday cake for my wife brought to our breakfast table. There is also a free shuttle service to downtown and the beaches available, but I found the uphill walking mostly as a welcome workout opportunity.

I recommend this hotel which exceeded my quite high expectations.

We chose Cefalu for our holiday in Sicily mainly because it appeared to be unspoilt by tourism,we were not disappointed. The hotel Alberi Del Paradiso was also a very good choice (after consulting Trip Advisor). The hotel reception was very efficient with all enquires and requests, the dining room staff could not have been more accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts covered all tastes, fresh fruit, cold meats, bacon eggs yoghurts croissants etc. Dinner in the restaurant we thought was expensive compared to the town establishments, also the complimentary meal did not reflect the general standard of dinning we had later. David the barman deserves a mention, lots of local knowledge and bar service very good. The rooms were very comfortable, very clean with fresh towels and linen, and bathroom with shower and bath. The shuttle bus into town is a big plus if mobility is a problem,be sure to take decent walking shoes for the cobbled streets. Lovely swimming pool in pleasant surroundings, getting a bit cool in October. We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at this hotel and have no hesitation in recommending it to other travellers .

I've based my last 3 holidays on Tripadvisor reviews so thought it was time I also contributed!! we had 7 nights in Giardini Naxos and then 5 nights in The Alberi Del Paradiso in Cefalu. In terms of both resort (beautiful) and hotel I wish it had been the other way around. This hotel scored maximum in so many areas - nice airy clean room, excellent breakfasts and a nice dinner when we did eat there. The communal areas are comfortable and the terraces were very nice to relax on. It is one of the most friendly hotels I've ever stayed in - highlights are the reception, bar staff and the room maid - but the restaurant was also very pleasant. The walk into town came as no surprise - 15 minutes by steps , slightly longer by road and was safe and with no problems. the shuttle seemed always to be there but we did not need to use it. The 2 downsides were not really that either - the pool was very cold but the bonus was on both occasions we were the only ones in it. the beach area was ok - better lido's for swimming were just up the beach and only 5 euros for both of us so we tried a few different ones
Really excellent stay and would definitely visit again

This hotel is located outside the downtown area but our group of six chose it because we had two rental cars and did not want to contend with parking downtown. The photos made it seem like there was more of a view of the city center than there actually was, but the hotel grounds were very beautiful and included a serene swimming pool, walkway through the tropical plants, and nicely appointed rooms. The rooms were on the smaller side but adequate and comfortable. Our group had dinner at the hotel and it was good but not great, although the service was very good. Some of the hotels higher on our list were already booked, which is how we found Alberi.

The upside of this hotel is that staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. One of our rental vehicles had a flat tire the morning we checked out and the front desk staff went out of their way to assist us in resolving the issue. Another positive is the included breakfast - it was delicious and extremely diverse. Third, the setting is beautiful and tranquil.

The downside is that the location is a far walk from the city center and the view was disappointing. Some reviewers complained about the price but the prices seemed about right for Cefalu. I would not describe it as a great value but it was a nice hotel away from the city center with a fabulous staff.

Likewise we visited recently (Sept 2013) and really enjoyed our stay for many of the reasons stated. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the distance from town was only a modest walk. We ate out in town many of the nights and walked back every time. The hotel food was excellent, but the options in town are varied and extensive, so it would be a pity to miss out. Having seen the sister hotel and other hotels closer to the beach, Pardiso was a good choice for us, very relaxed and more scenic being higher up and in an impressively vegetated valley. We hired a car for the transfers and the full holiday, so were able to explore, but if you just wanted to relax in comfort, with occasional trips to the beach and around town, this hotel is an excellent choice.

The hotel was lovely, and not what i was expecting from the pictures! They do it no justice!! Staff were lovely, rooms were clean etc, cleaned everyday. Our view, especially with having the top rooms, with the big balcony.
Only problem we had was, since i was travelling with friends, the bathroom doors being glass, and see-through was something we didn't know, and wasn't exactly ideal!
We hired a car for our 5 day stay, which i have to say was an excellent idea. The hotel was hard'ish' to fine, and is up a horrible steep hill, but is quite long! There is a shuttle bus, but we didn't use it, just because we wanted to use the car ourselves!
Breakfast was lovely, i ended up having 10 of the mini croissants as they were so god! Lack of a 'hot' meal, as there is only bacon and scrambled eggs...

Oh, and for food, go to Al Porticciolo, they have cheap, but the best pizza's i have ever eaten for €5!! And the staff are just the best!! They were lovely, and we ended up going everyday! The spoke good english, the service was super quick, and they even got us champaign on our last day!!

Room Tip: The top rooms, no. 400 somethings are the best as they have the large balconies!

We found this hotel to be fantastic. The staff upon arrival couldn't be more helpful. Our room was beautiful, spacious and clean. The hotel highlights the importance of caring for the environment without being forceful and imposing about it. The food served at dinner was amazing with the wait staff being really nice, professional and pleasant headed by an amazing Maitre D. Breakfast was the most spectacular we witnessed while on the island with loads of freshly baked produce and locally grown fruits. The pool was beautiful, and there was regular shuttle buses to the beach.I could not find a fault with this hotel. Everyone from the reception staff, to the pool staff, to the bar and wait staff were so professional but also really friendly, warm and welcoming. If i was to return to Sicily I would have no hesitation what so ever in returning to this hotel.
