“We enjoyed our stay in cefalu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

La Plumeria has a very nice atmosphere through the tasteful renovation of an old building near the city center of Cefalu. The rooms was comfortable and everything was very clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with a good selection of local and international servings.
As Cefalu is a very lively city it was sometimes a bit noisy in the night/morning - you should consider that if you have a light sleep. The parking lot is about a ten-minute-walk away from the hotel but you can call to get picked up.
Overall we can strongly recommend La Plumeria if you're going to stay at cefalu - we think it's one of the best places to stay at.

Room Tip: The topmost room is a little penthouse with a terrace - that's the best room.

Great hotel in great location. Rooms are impeccably clean if a bit small....but that is the reality of
an otherwise charming hotel in the very heart of Cefalu. My wife and I spent two nights there and we would go back in a jiffy. The staff was excellent and so genuinely friendly.

Room Tip: Some rooms have slightly bigger showers than others....you should check to see what is available.

If I had to come up with one critisim all I can say is you would not want to be too tall in our room as there was a low ceiling but the room was large, clean, comfortable. The location is PERFECT. Breakfast was lovely. Parking was convenient - we had no problem finding it (which was a first for us in Italy) and the shuttle comes right away to get you. The staff was very helpful, welcoming and friendly. It was a good choice and we would stay here again.

After much difficulty finding the hotel's off-site parking, the hotel was charming and in an excellent central location. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room, though small and facing a courtyard, was meticuously clean. I guess there must be larger ones as indicated by the reviews.
Breakfast was nice and conveniently served in the courtyard.
We had to catch an early flight so the shuttle to the parking was not running but there was no problem driving right up to the hotel at 5 am.
All and all, our stay was a pleasant experience.

Thanks to previous reviews on TripAdvisor we chose to stay at La Plumeria. We wanted to be in the center of town but close to the beach and that it was. We were beyond happy and it was everything we hoped it would be and more.
The hotel itself is very clean and well run. We had a room right facing the street only up one floor and we never head any noise. The room is well appointed with all the necessities with a typical Italian breakfast served from 7-10 .
But the stars of this little gem are the staff. Flavia, Fabiana, and Giulia at the front desk were knowledgable, helpful, curtious and welcoming! The entire staff was friendly, spoke English and all very much ready to do what they can to make our stay memorable.
Thank you and we hope to see you again, our friends at La Plumeria.

We travelled in June and July of 2012 with our two boys (ages 4 and 6). We visit Italy every other year. This hotel had everything an American family needs. Off site parking was easy to find, and the shuttle picked us up quickly. The hotel appears to be recently updated. It looks and feels fantastic. Plumeria’s family room was large enough for all of our luggage, clean, and functional. The boys each had their own single bed, and my wife and I were able to share a real queen bed (not two singles pushed together). The air conditioner worked well. The small balcony looked out onto a small street and allowed for great people watching, and we enjoyed listening to the locals going about their business. Staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English well (although we prefer to speak Italian). Breakfast was an upscale version of the typical Italian fare, with the exception that we were served freshly baked cake. The restaurants and shops are a 2 minute walk. The beach is just outside the old town and 5 minute walk. We are looking forward to visiting again.

We booked two nights here, and would highly recommend this hotel. We landed in Palermo and drove directly to the hotel. They do not have parking on site, but we were directed by hotel staff (Giulia) to a parking lot, where she organized a taxi shuttle. The hotel is in an excellent location right in the old town. We were so tired (from a very long flight) that we missed breakfast the next morning. It was held for us past the breakfast hour, and we were treated to coffee and cannoli in the outdoor courtyard when we finally got up. Very nice touch.

Great initiation to Sicily, great hotel.
