Truly enjoyed both the food and service at this restaurant. Not quite sure how the mother and son manage to do it all, but they do, and they do it well. The food was superb and the son who was waiting the tables was a joy - suggested that we taste the house wine before ordering. House white was fine; the red not so much. He recommended a bottle of Nero D' Avola and allowed us to taste and decide - he made an excellent suggestion and the cost was so reasonable. Mama's meatballs were one of the specialties that evening and they were the best - how could something so simple be so sublime? The artichoke salad was unlike anything I have ever tasted and I still dream of this dish. He explained how this dish was executed - now if I can just find some fresh artichokes worthy of recreating this dish in the U.S. Reservations one day in advance are a must.
