“Has potential”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2011

Stayed there last weekend. The only complaint that I have is that the A/C does not work. Don't let them fool you either. Its a fan not an air conditioner. And for the price we paid, I don't think you should be sweating while your sleeping. I really wish I could give a better rating on this place because it is a very nice place and a good location especially if you have children with you. The rooms are small but when your on vacation you usually aren't there very much anyway. The breakfast is nothing special, but its a typical European breakfast and its included in your stay. Not your Bacon and eggs we Americans are used to. The waiters were extremely friendly even though they spoke little English. The beach is a short 5 minute walk. and is very nice and there are many restaurants and shops nearby.

We spent two days there on our way back from Italy - just for the opportunity visiting Venice. I think this is a tipical Italian 3* hotel. (Very)Small rooms, 2 m2 bathroom, poor breakfast, quite busy and moderate cleanness. On the second night there was no hot water in the room - we could not get a shower. If you go there for a few days and would not like to spend a holiday there with family - it is okay.

To start, the decoration is awful, very kitsch but not in good way. Then the attention was terrible: we had reservations and they didnt find them, and the staff was more than rude, even pretending they couldn t understand the language (we are not overtly fluent in italian, but up to half conversation they did understand us,then decided to stop doing so) and raising their voices.
Breakfast was a dissapointment also, with dry tasting cakes, terrible fruit juices and yogurt that tasted like it had been out of the fridge for a few days.
I am sure that you can find better hotels in the area, not only cheaper but friendlier as well.

Looking at the hotel website we felt this hotel might be too good to be true for the price. 56 euros/ person/night full board in the Venice area seemed cheap when a meal in the area costs 50 +euros. We got a pre arranged taxi from Treviso for 50 euros which is a better idea than public transport as it's a bit messy to find the hotel if you don't know the area well. The night we arrived the hotel was celebrating its 50th anniversary so it was party time round the pool with a lovely buffet and free wine.
The hotel is spotless as is the area. The hotel has few english visitors and mainly german guests and is run by the Castelli family-grandmother,mum, son and daughter. The later ,Phillipo and Alicia, speak excellent english and all are really friendly. You can tell they care about the hotel.
You can take an "elegant" room but the standard rooms are fine, Most having a view of the swimming pool or sea. The reception hall has a marvellously camp feeling to it with huge sofa and hearts.
We had thought that if the food wasn't great we would eat out. We never needed to. The food was lovely with lots of choice and most of it very tasty. The wine is also cheap at 5 euros for a half litre caraffe.
You can use the hotel bikes for free which is a real boon. We cycled to Punta Sabbioni where you can catch ferries to Venice(40 mins) Burano(20 mins) and Morano as well as the main airport. The islands are beautiful as is the ferry journey. The ferry stops at the Lido which is well worth a visit. The film festival was just finishing when we visted and the Lido has an upmarket feel to it with plenty of massive mansions and elegant houses. All these places can be visited with a Venice day card which cost 18 Euros. Great value.
If you want a bit more life than that offered round the hotel you can go to Jesolo which is 15 minutes away by bus. This is a big holiday town with a huge main street with a great mixture of shops. The bus (No.5) stops outside the hotel. Get off the bus when you see shops on the parallel road. We missed it and had to get off at the terminal which is a ten minute walk to the centre. Regular travellors to Italy will know that it is getting more and more difficult to pay cash on the bus. Make sure you have a Venice card or buy individual tickets at the many tabacconists. We are telling you this because we witnessed Brits getting kicked off the last bus in the middle of nowhere because they didn't have a ticket.! The harvest festival was being celebrated in the town so loads of free wine again.
The beach by the hotel was empty. Free hotel sunbeds and umbrella saves you 100 euros per week. The beach is really clean by english standards with plenty of watering holes along it.
Check out the hotel's website. It is how it looks!
All in all we had a great time at this little gem of a hotel. Ciao.

Hotel is conveniently placed right opposite a bus stop on line number 5 which runs from Lido De Jesolo to Punta Sabbationi which is the ferry terminal for Venice.

Hotel is clean with beautifully maintained pool area. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had no problems with noise at night. The hotel charged 3 euros for a safe for the week but provided free sunlounger and sunshade for the beach.
The hotel is a short walk (2 minutes) to the beach.

We booked bed and breakfast and have to say the only slight disappointment with this hotel was was the breakfast . The food was good with cereal, bread rolls, cheese and ham plus plenty of fruit, jams and cake but it was suposed to be available until 10.15. In our experience after 09.30 there never seemed to be a lot left. Most days we had to ask for something ie juice, milk, more bread even some plates and cutlery on one occasion! We were also constantly moved from one table to another. We could not understand why they did not put room numbers on the tables or direct you to a table when you arrived. Having said this the young lad at breakfast was extremely helpful with all our requests as were all the staff and the bar staff in particular were also very friendly and helpful. We did not try dinner in the hotel so cannot comment on that.

The nightlife in the immediate area around is orientated around half a dozen pizzerias and 2/3 other hotels. It was on the quiet side especially after around 11 and the hotel bar closed around 12.30. However we found it relaxing and a nice contrast to the livelier nights we spent at Lido De Jesolo which is ten minutes on the bus . In June the last bus back from Jesolo was ten to 11 at night although I believe in July and August the last bus is later at midnight. Taxi's were on the expensive side at around 18 euro's but we never had a problem getting one as we always made sure to end up at the Black Cat English pub who were happy to call a taxi for us.

We found we could eat at night with half a litre of wine for around 30 euros. Wine especially was much cheaper than England.

We actually spent most days in Lido De Jesolo as I wanted to practise watersports. I would highly recommend Paolo at Surf Sail school at the port end of the beach. Whilst perhaps on the expensive side the one hour tuition often stretched to nearer 2 hours.

We did the obligatory trip to Venice - expecting to be caught in a tourist trap - for the most part we were pleasanly surprised by prices but for the bar by the ferry terminal. We had 2 bottles of beer whilst waiting for our ferry which cost a massive 19 euros. Avoid drinking in this area!

All in all I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to be close to Venice and Jesolo but in a quieter more family orientated environment.

Me and my girl friend want to spend a couple of day in Venice. We stay at this pretty hotel Ca' di Valle: 45 minute from Venice with a beautiful trip by boat in the northern lagoon, we arrive just a bridge from piazza San Marco, in the center of Venice. The Hotel is very close to the beach and has a beautiful swimmingpool and private garage to park the car. At the end of the Holyday they give us also one very nice present and one calendar for the next year.

Very very good price because is all inclusive.

Hallo and good holyday to all of you.

Jimmy
