“Perfect villa in Chianti”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013 via mobile

We can't wait to come back to this wonderful place.
Don't miss the dinners prepared by Ettore.
This is the perfect place to relax and to truly experience Tuscany.
It is a good base for day trips in the lovely villages of the area.

This B&B hidden away in a forrest just outside Castellina is a true gem. Kind and service minded owners, charming decor with tuscan antiques and style and the whole place makes your stress levels go down immediately. Small restaurant in the house serving local specialities, Nice lounge chairs outside where you can have a drink before dinner or relax with a book. Stella and Ettore make sure you feel welcome and the coffee Stella serves for breakfast is one of the best I have tasted ever. From the pool area you overlook tuscan fields and it is the perfect location for total tranquility. Was there July two years ago and coming back this summer...

Our family of three recently spent two nights at Villa di Capovento in July, and wish it had been more. This lovely B & B is absolutely gorgeous; tastefully decorated with antiques, as well as modern amenities. The outside sitting areas are tranquil--hammocks, shady trees, flowers, and a view that is spectacular. Everything is spotlessly clean--bathroom, shower, room, as well as the pool. What really sets this inn apart is the owners. They are a hardworking, energetic couple, who anticipate your every need. We ate here for both nights, and can honestly say that our meals were the best we savored during this trip to Italy. Thank you for a wonderful stay. My family, including our 8 year old daughter, will be back soon.

This is an amazing place! About 2.5 km from Castellina in Chianti (very easy to reach, good directions given!), a beautiful villa with spacious rooms with balcony, amazing setting, you can walk around the place and look over the Tuscany fields. Be sure to walk to the "old church" up road (about 10 minutes walk), great views!!!
Also, we had one of the best dinners in the 18 days in Italy. Food is delicious! Go for the house red wine, really good, as well as the pasta and desserts. Breakfast is also really good, very complete and tasteful!
The couple who runs the villa is really nice!
Wish we could have had at least 2 days to stay here! Definetly will come back!

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor hace balcony, which is great to sit down in the morning or late afternoon...

This place is so beautiful and charming that you want to stay there forever!!! The service is terrific, the owners are very friendly, sympathetic and kind. Incredible view, nice swiming pool! Is not that accessible and the road is very rustic so you need to travel with your (or rental) car. Quiet and romantic, an amazing and relaxing place to spend your days. Thanks Ettore and wife for everything, we had a great time at your Villa!

+ This family owned Villa is situated in Castellina in Chianti which is in the heart of Tuscany. It is great if you like to visit the area and you have a car. It has great views and the couple that owns it do their best to fullfil your needs and have a great time. The owner was always willing to help us with our daily excursions and his wife was very hospitable and friendly. Their food at the restaurant is delicious and of a very good quality. The organic breakfast served at the father's atelie is also great. The rooms are very well decorated and cozy. You have great views from the room and a balcony to relax. Spending time at the pool will also be great if you visit in summer or just hang out in their beautiful garden. I surely recommend this hotel especially for peaceful , relaxing holidays.
- have in mind that is in a remote area so you will definitely need a car to go there or use it as a station to visit the area. Of course you can just get there by taxi and STAY for your whole holidays and RELAAAX ;)

My wife and I stayed here for a few days and think it is wonderful. Although you are just a couple of kilometres outside Castellina in Chianti, this wonderful home from home is in a totally beautiful and secluded setting. When you wake up in the morning all you hear is total silence, apart from the birds singing. There are so many things to like: Stella and Etore (bad spelling?!), the simple but exceptionally clean rooms, the very pleasant swimming pool, the excellent value for money, the delicious home-cooked evening meals which are "real Italian" and original, the wonderful house wine (Chianti Classico of course!), the very good breakfasts taken outside onnthe verandah if you like. In fact we liked everything.

If you like the real Italy with absolute tranquility yet still want to be close to everything that Chianti has to offer you will love this place. It is not a five star "synthetic" hotel but a wondefully simple place to stay where you will feel at home whilst wishing it was your home.
