We stayed in Cellese for two and a half weeks - one and half in villa la Ginestra and one in apartment Cispiano. Both had everything we need four our stay, but villa was especially nice, with true Tuscany feeling and very comfortable, also for family with childs. it has its own garden and swiming pool and so guarantee the full independence, but at the same time also feeling of safety, because Sergio came to help if we had any problem.
He and Silvia are really hospitable and home - felt hosts and they done a great house reatoration and now its wonderful farmhouse on hill top between vineyards and olive trees with fabuluos views! And, of course, with real Tuscany home cooking and wonderfull IL Cellese vines!
We were here first, but we will return and definitely recomend this place to everyone who wants to discover Tuscany !

3 of us rented the Sergio Apartment. The apartment is great for 2 couples or friends to share. It has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The apartment has all the amenities you need, nice layout, and nicely decorated. Sergio and Silvia were both wonderful. Silvia cooks dinner 3 nights a week and does a Sunday brunch as well which was nice after we'd been touring wineries all day and didn't want to make the drive into town. The driveway is bumpy but you don't need an SUV like a couple other reviewers said. Just drive slow and it's fine. It's about 10min drive to town. We enjoyed having a real Tuscan experience and it happened to be harvest time when we were there so that was interesting to see.

Pros: location, spacious apartment, people/host, great views, wi-fi, great food
Cons: walls are thin, can hear your neighbors easily, not all windows have screens so mosquitos do get in. or if you keep windows closed it can get a little hot upstairs in the bedrooms

This is our first stay at Sergio's. It is a wonderful farmhouse. Warm and inviting. A half hour from Siena and 45 minutes from Florence. Easy to find with a GPS, but would recommend having one for not only finding Il Cellese but also for exloring the Tuscany region. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Lots of room for a family.

It was our second visit at "Il Cellese". The first time was 4 years ago and the decision where to stay this year was very easy and we have no regrets!! "Il Cellese" is such an amazing place to stay when you are in the beautiful Tuscany. The location, so quiet and peaceful... The views : spectacular!! The apartments, all you need is there! This time we got "the loft", it's really beautiful with lots of windows, so you have already in the morning, while brushing your teeth, the opportunity to enjoy the views and the quietness. And at night, the only thing you hear is the relaxing sound of the crickets... In 2 minutes you fall asleep. Sergio is a great host and if you need something or want some information, he's always happy to help you. This year he had two quads for us. First he showed us the beautiful trip by car and on our way with the quads he arranged a wine-tasting at "Gagliole". He also gave us the advice to have lunch at a beautiful small lake. That day we really had the time of our life!! At "Il Cellese" you have the chance to have diner on mondays, wednesdays and fridays. We must say that Silvia is really a great cook!! Also on sundays you have the possibility to enjoy a fantastic brunch, we can recommend also this to everyone!! We have made the promise to Sergio that we will book again in his paradise for our next holiday, because WE JUST LOVE IT!! We are already looking forward to go back again...
