This hotel is a 'wedding cake' grand villa dating from the era of the Grand Tour. It has been up-dated with every possible modern convenience. The bathrooms are excellent, the bar was very stylish and comfortable as was the restaurant. Ermina and her staff were friendly and helpful at every opportunity. The garden is an orange grove with wickerwork loungers, arm chairs and coffee tables scattered under the trees, a swimming pool near by. The views from the upper floors over the Bay of Naples are magnificent at sunset. We came to visit the near-by archeological sites. These were easy to get to. Only the squalor of Naples itself was a shock - no criticism of the hotel whi8ch is remote from this. But driving in and around Naples is to be avoided.
