“Lovely Hotel Friendly Staff Stunning Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This summer, my partner and I ventured to Castellamare Di Stabia, Italy for a last minute week in the sun before returning to the mania of university life. Hotel Stabia is located in the centre of the bay and with a rooftop terrace the views are stunning and we spent many an evening sitting up there with a drink or two from the bar. The staff are incredibly friendly, with very good English, and are more than enthusiastic to assist with their local knowledge. They informed us of the best restaurants and the best sightseeing deals. The hotel lacks a pool, however it is right on the sea front with the beach behind it which is ideal. At night the seafront is vibrant with successions of people, pop up bars on the beach and street sellers. It is a fantastic place to stay for those who are keen to get up and explore.

Room Tip: Although the views are best from the rooms facing the bay, the noise from the busy seafront is certa...

Hotel Stabia was not the best place we ever stayed at. It is an older place right in town. It is right on the beach with a nice walk and great view. Not totally up to American standards but that is why we travel to get to see other sides of life.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with our Trafalgar tour. The rooms are very dated but it was nice. The furniture was older but comfortable. The TV did not work but the wifi was good. We had included breakfast and dinner. Dinner was always very good and flavourful. Breakfast was alright - cereal and pastries. It's located right by the sea near a boardwalk, which is really nice. It took us about 30 minutes, with no traffic, to get to Sorrento.

My wife and I stayed for a week and enjoyed the hotel, it is dated and no information in the room. The breakfast room on the top floor was fantastic with great views of Mount Vesuvius and the bay great sunsets in the evening. All the reception staff are very helpful and will help you get around the area. The bed was comfortable and the shower very powerful. this is a very good place to stay for visiting Naples to Amalfi use the trains they are cheap.

Ok we Found the room and the location absolutely fine.Eating on the top floor gives you a fantastic view of the Mountains one side the leading into the amalfi coast. To the right of this you get a great view of the beach. The lounge and other areas you may use we great, Quiet, tidy and lots to look at.All in All a great stay. Staff were Fanatically helpful Day and Night. Life in the area does not really kick in till late in the afternoon and goes on till late at night :) The room itself had AMAZING glazing which eliminated virtually all noise :)

Room Tip: We were on the 5th Floor at the front looking out to the sea and Islands :) Recomend

Stayed here as part as a Trafalgar tour, rooms very dated, small hard single beds, room was large by European standards, bathroom small, in its day I'm sure it was excellent, bit of a labyrinth, lifts very slow, take the stairs, nice terrace bar, the mature gentleman on the front desk was extremely helpful, lovely, breakfast basic. 10 minutes from train station, friends had a beachfront room, kept awake at night by party goers, rooms at back were quiet.

Room Tip: Rooms at back are quieter

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel on our tour of Italy with Trafalgar Tours, The hotel is situated in a very run down area with rubbish dumped everywhere, If we had been on our own and not on an escorted trip we would have turned around and found another hotel in a different location.
The hotel and rooms were clean and tidy although our bedroom was on the small size.
The breakfasts were ok nothing marvellous, and the dinners were quite disappointing.
Shame about the location of this hotel.
