We stayed here 5 nigths in July 2012, 2 couples, and paid 140 Euro per nigth per room, incl breakfast, which was good value for money. we had OK and quiet rooms, with big balconies facing the garden, second floor. Friendly staff, a really great swimming pool and excellent pool restaurant for lunch. Fantastic location of the hotel at the beach, and resereved parking at the hotel. Free wifi in pool area, but not in the room.

For a part of our summer holiday we (2 add. + 2 children) had booked 6 nights in the hotel. Late booking meant that we had to change room two times (which we knew when we made the booking).

First of all, the hotel is situated in the right place. 10 metres from the beach and close to downtown. Nice pool area and nice rooms (we tried three fifferent sizes).

But what really makes the difference here is the great service and the very friendly staff. Everything with a smile and very well organised. They are in control of everything and are very good at making you relax and enjoy during your stay.

Further, the pool restaurant offers not only great food (a mix of Italian and Spanish food) but the guy who is charge of the pool bar/restaurant is a really friendly fellow who obviously enjoys serving people, making nice drinks and creating a good atmosphere.

Marina Di Campo is a nice little town with good restaurants (the two on the beach are the most high-end with a little more sophisticated menus but in general restaurants here serve nice Italian food).

We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Montecristo and would always recommend it. Both for families and couples.

The ONLY bad thing we can say about the hotel is that their wi-fi only works in the restaurant and the lobby. In 2011 it should be possible to connect when you are in your room. The fact that they charge extra for wi-fi (hourly basis) is acceptable but it not fun to sit in the lobby or restaurant every time you need to log on.

A colleague of mine suggested this really crappy hotel in Marina del Campo. It is definitely not worth the price!!! We paid EUR 190.- for a shabby room, totally moulded bathroom and street-side view. They were not even able to cook a decent cappuccino, which should not be a big deal in Italy. We never stayed in a worse hotel, not in my entire life! Please don't book any room in this hotel, you will get disappointed.

The director is not evry nice with clients. You pay almost 200€ for a nice room and you get a very old room, with a very dirty bathroom and if you are lucky you will have the balcony, just next to the parking so anyone could go inside the room or see what you are doing.
