“PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY and BEAUTIFUL”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2011

Hotel RELY, pronounced Rellie".We booked this hotel for a week in June/July, to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary. Going on previous reviews, we found that this hotel was all we hoped for. Clean, comfortable and well set out, with many little areas inside and out, you never feel crowded.
The staff are helpful and friendly at all times, and, with everyone. The secret of its success is that the lead comes from the top and filters through.
The manager is totally committed to the integrity of the hotel and keeps everything running smoothly. Obviously a "happy ship" and nothing is too much trouble. The gala night on Thursday was good fun with dancing in the lounge/ bar and the staff performing, along with a lady singer.
We had a nice room at the back, which looked up to the gardens, pool and mountain. It was quiet, no traffic noise from the front road. Immaculate and spacious shower room with wc, bidet, wash basin and shower. Nice terrace with table and chairs, private, with frosted glass partitions.
Breakfast was more than adequate and should suit everyone. Dinner was 4 courses, with the first course buffet-style and the rest by waiter service. Wine prices were reasonable. If you don't drink alcohol, try the lemon soda...sensational!
Free internet access and use of computer & printer.
The grounds were stunning with fabulous views over the lake, especially from the pool area. There are gardens all around and on different levels, and a short cut down to the lakeside via some steps, where there is a small area of private beach belonging to the hotel.
Brenzone is not a tourist centre as such, but a quieter area with lovely lakeside walks and plenty of restaurants and bars stretching in both directions by the lake.
There is a bus stop 300 metres down the road, buy your tickets at the shop (more expensive if you pay on the bus). You often have a long wait, due to traffic jams in Garda town, but the ferries are on time. Get to the ferry port about 20 minutes before it's due and buy your tikets at the kiosk (or in Brenzone, the little shop which is right opposite the jetty and sells souvenirs etc). We found it best to buy a single ticket, as you may want to go on to another town. There are fast and slow ferries. The fast one is dearer, but it was good to go out on it and get the slow one back, that way you get a nice cruise and can have a snack and drink.
On fridays, if you catch the bus to Garda in the morning, there is a large market, from there get the fast ferry to Sirmione, really gorgeous place, great ice-cream, and then take the slow ferry back to Brenzone which takes 2 & half hours and stops at nearly all the towns on the west side of the lake , apart from the ones right at the north, and then crosses over and makes its way back to base.
If you want to go on the cable car to Monte Baldo, go to Malcesine on the bus, set off early, at least by 9am, as the queues are endless after that. the cabl car is fast and terrific at the top. Plenty of eating places and walks, alpacas and donkeys, paragliders and stunning views.
The hotel staff will always advise about the best way to get to places, we could not fault any of them. The pool restaurant did tasty lunches and you can sit in a shady or sunny spot surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees.
No shortage of sunbeds, aroung the pool or in the grass areas. There is a super crazy golf too!
This hotel also offers bungalows for self catering, or the best of both worlds, as you can still eat in the restaurant, and also use the facilities.
Hotel Rely takes some beating! We booked with Airport Direct Travel, who were more than helpful and immediately replied to emails. It was a Newmarket Travel holiday, and a reasonable price, but they sent us no paperwork whatsoever and I had to print off the booking confirmation at home, and hope that we got on the plane alright!
Airport Direct contacted them by email and telephone, and I rang Newmarket myself, but to no avail. However, we did get the holiday info etc when we got on the coach in Italy. Otherwise all went smoothly.
Congratulations HOTEL RELY and thanks for the bathroom slippers!

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, don't pay extra for a lake view. You get fantastic views from the hote...

The Hotel Rely is the best hotel I have stayed in in a long time. My room was excellent with a Lake view and all facilities. The pool and pool bar area superb being spotlessly clean and tidy. All information needed on the area and facilities was readily available. The food, although a set menu, was delicious, beautifully cooked and well presented and always hot. My special dietary needs we smoothly and delicately catered for and the choice of wines - well superb.
But most of all the Hotel must be congratulated on its owner and staff who were friendly, knowledgable, multi-lingual, efficient, welcoming and happy. I never saw a sad face the whole week.
Would I go there again? Most definately. Than you again to all staff.

Room Tip: I successfully asked for lake view via email

My wife and I spent a week at this Hotel during our Honeymoon, Rugero and Luca are Amazing at taking care of customers, everything was very well kept and the food service was great also, they make sure you have a good time and that you are taken care off properly, the food was Very Good all of the time, it is to me a place that makes me feel like coming back again and again! The View from our room was Amazing too!
I'm from Arizona, USA and I fell in love with this place in particular since it is managed in a very family oriented yet professional way, if possible I would be back every year with out a doubt!

We found the hotel clean and comfortable, The staff were friendly and always polite and helpful. My wife had particular dietary requirements and we mentioned this to Sami the head waiter on the first evening and thereafter suitable substitutes were automatically provided when necessary. He is a great character with an ideal personality for a dining room and was ably assisted by Maria Rosa and Radek. Luca runs the bar very efficiently as well as being on hand to help with all sorts of other duties. Sylvia was most helpful with local information and directions. Our thanks are also due to Flavio, Michele and Stefano who's efforts in the kitchen provided a rich and varied menu throughout the week. We thoroughly enjoyed all our meals and were especially impressed with the quality and value of the wine list. This hotel deserves at least another star.

The only fault (if itn was one,) is that the air conditioning was inoperative throughout my stay except for the very last night, when due to an early rise, iwas not needing it.

Breakfast was readily available at early times ,wen it was needed for going on trips
