“great value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012 via mobile

My partner and I stayed here for 6 nights in Aug 2012 and loved it.
- spotless rooms
Cleaned daily and are cleaner than some 4-stars I've stayed in
- friendly staff
Staff are extremely courteous, helpful and patient.
BTW spot the twins among the staff ;-)
- private 'beach' for quick dips and romantic evenings.
Whereas all the beaches at Lake Garda are full from morning till late afternoon, they are usually empty in the evenings.
The guests at Merano (nearly all Germans), preferred to spend the evenings on the hotel's patio which meant my partner and I had the beach for ourselves :-)
- good location
Away from the hustle and bustle of Riva and Garda but not far from either.
If you have nerves of steel, you'll be quicker on the road with a bike - no problem for city cyclists.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2011

A last minute decision to have a week away and booked an AOA from Norwich, alas this was more abandoned on arrival than allocated i'm affraid, 2 rooms facing a sheer stone face (see pictures) but worse is there is nothing here, we walked 40 minutes in each direction and found virtualy nothing, not a shop, bar or restaurant and a bus service that was a complete waste of time as they are seldom on time, a nice 30 minutes wasted waiting for a bus. I think its fair to say a car is required if you stay here.
The hotel is fine clean, reasonable food and friendly staff just not sure why there is a hotel here.
We asked to be moved and ended up in Jesolo !!!!

Room Tip: Don't go at the back of the hotel

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2009

This hotel has a good location with an unblocked view of the Garda lake and a nice terrace. Nice pool too. The rooms are very basic, but clean and bed was comfy. The lady running the hotel was very nice, helpful and easy going. Breakfast was good too.
