We visited Hotel Al Sole in August and had a wonderful time. This is a very warm and friendly place to stay. The staff are excellent, as they go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. The rooms are extremely clean. Lobby is spotless and very inviting.

Our first visit to Hotel Al Sole was in 2009. Since then we have returned to the same resort and same hotel in 2011 and again in 2014 as our experience there has been so good.
This is a very friendly and personal family run B&B hotel. Rooms are comfortable and of a decent size, everything is immaculately clean with towels changed on a daily basis and the staff very efficient and friendly.
Breakfast at Al Sole is a little on the basic side being continental only (breads, meats and spreads, hard boiled eggs, cereals, cakes etc.) but there is plenty of it. As others have mentioned, the machine brewed coffee leaves a lot to be desired, so settle for tea instead if you can - at least you can make that to your own taste.
Being just a couple of minutes walk from the local bus stops makes Al Sole an ideal base for exploring Lake Garda or booked excursions and car parking is ample. The lakeside and town centre are just a few minutes away too so the fact that you have to step out for evening meal is not a problem. (The amount of excellent local restaurants will spoil you for choice!)
We will definitely be back again before long.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms 101/201 if possible as they overlook the car park. A/C is only available from 1 Jun b...

i decided to take a tour of the lakes in the north part of Italy. so My boyfriend and i travel all the way from easter Europe and we stopped by Hotel al Sole due the great reputation on trip advisor. The room was really comfortable and clean, we enjoyed the view over the pool even if it was a bit too cold to take a swim. The breakfast was very big and the parking for our car was very spacious. I truly suggest to the travelers this nice and simple hotel.

Another lovely holiday in Lake Garda we stayed at the Hotel Al Sole in Bardolino. A great hotel with friendly & helpful staff. A great pity it's only bed & breakfast an evening meal would have been great. Only gripe we had was the coffee it was from a machine!!! a pot of fresh coffee would have been so much better, that said the Al Sole is a great liitle hotel with bus stops nearby to take you up to Riva or to Verona. The rooms are clean and a good size ours had a balcony which is a bonus, just don't expect a view but the hotel is a short walk to the lake. Garda is beautiful and the weather was just great.

We stayed here for a week in July. Our choice was influenced by the previous glowing reviews of this small, but immaculately run family hotel and we can confirm all that has been said before is true!
The rooms are of good size even allowing for a (very comfortable) camp bed in one, the air conditioning is adequate, though balconies in some rooms a little small.
We had a minor problem with a leaking sink and it was quickly fixed.
The breakfasts provide an excellent range of food and you have the option of eating in or outside on the patio.
All the staff from management to domestics are pleasant and courteous always happy to help.
The hotel itself is quiet and relaxing yet only a short walk to the centre of Bardolino.
Would we return? You bet

Room Tip: Ask for a room with good sized balcony

Having returned from a very romantic week at the above hotel, I can't begin to praise it enough we stayed in room 207 which has a small balcony area and overlooks the swimming pool the condition of the room was spotless and I echo the other reviews that the family and staff that run this hotel are so very helpful, we stayed on a B&B basis as this is all that the hotel caters for, you can purchase soft drinks beer, wine, pizza and panninis from reception at anytime, the breakfast was as big or as small as you wanted albeit of a continental type.
Although on the outskirts of Bardolino town which is beautiful the hotel is near a bus route for other destinations, or you can easily walk into Bardolino itself which is full of shops bars restaurants and quirky streets and squares, we ate close by at the Al Capital which is about 50 meters away the hotel which I'll review separately along with others, we traveled out in late July and the daytime temperatures with the humidity could be very oppressive.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have balconies so ensure you choose appropriately.
