Went with Inghams from UK and we were hugely impressed with this hotel which is a classy stylish upmarket place with high standards . Super room service e.g. towels changed twice a day!) and all areas kept ultra clean. Room was immaculate with a spacious bathroom, and very comfortable with a king size bed. Air conditioning was excellent in the room and non intrusive. For food on half board, where the breakfast was excellent we were disappointed once or twice with the evening meal where the quality was inconsistent and portions were small. This hotel has an excellent location just a few minutes' pleasant walk to town and promenade. Bardolino is a fascinating little town with a real community feel and probably our favourite spot on the lake as a whole. The hotel has one-way roads at the front and on one side which bring a trickle of traffic and the odd noisy motor bike but this factor is not really a nuisance. The pool and garden are great to relax in, although the former gets busy and you have to keep an eye out for free loungers at busy times.

Room Tip: Would recommend balcony room at the front of hotel

The hotel is located 100 meters from the town centre and in a few minutes on foot you can reach the lake and the ferries. Excellent breakfast with a very good selection of pastries. Spacious and very clean room with very nice bathroom where nothing is missing and everything worked perfectly. Room rate was fair considering this is a 4-star hotel and we stayed there in the high season (July). Breakfast was included in the rate and the hotel car park is free as well as a WiFi connection. Should we go to Bardolino again, we will definitely try again to book a room at San Pietro.

read some reviews about the hotel and decided to go there for a week via "Inghams" in June. The small hotel (34 rooms, from memory) , is an oasis of peace and quite. Breakfast choice was excellent helped along with a couple of glasses of nicely chilled Prosecco! Evening meal was varied, 7 out of 10. Staff in the dining room were excellent. The pool area is small with comfortable loungers, but it could be difficult to get one if there are more than 20 people wanting to spend some time around the pool in high season, unless you come from a Country renowned for its citizens to put towels down at 7am.

No point in having a "Lake view" room, unless you want a balcony and to look at the pool as the Lake is blocked out by the high trees at the front of the Hotel. We had a rear view room looking back into the town and the mountains, the car parking area at the back of the hotel wasn`t an issue

I Have been all over Italy from North to South and I found The San Pietro.Hotel one of the best reasonably priced small hotels in Italy.

The Hotel is a few minutes walk into the town, probably the best town on Lake Garda.

We visited this hotel in July 2011- completely the wrong time as it was too hot to move!- but regardless of the weather we had a fab time.
The hotel is centrally located, 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle but far enough away to be peaceful and 5 minutes to the lakefront.
The pool is loveley and a welcome respite from the heat and the staff were lovely and friendly.
We stayed half board and the food was lovely. The menus were varied and they were more than happy to cater for fussy eaters or provide you with an alternative.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone and Bardolino is definitely the place to be in Lake Garda!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front to get a balcony overlooking the pool

This hotel compact and neat of only 3 floors with lift an oasis of comfort and charm whilst maintaining its Italian elegance.
A family run hotel where the owners are hands on keeping a discreet but reassuring presence.
The rooms are neat, well appointed and maintained to a high standard. Bed linen changed every day and the bathroom checked and towels replaced twice a day.
The bar, lounge, reception, garden and pool areas are immaculate & inviting.
The dining room is quiet and traditional, overseen by Ignazio who is an impeccably turnout out individual, totally unflappable with a dry but wicked sense of humour. The menus created and prepared by the talented Guiseepe and Valentino are innivotive and delicious, with great presentation.
The hotel is close to all travel and shopping amenities in a pedestrianised town centre.
I highly recommend this hotel,

Room Tip: room 353 top floor great views
