“Exceeded expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Thoroughly impressed with the facilities, quality of service, efficiency and friendliness of the staff, and comfortable and spacious rooms. Little or no noise from A/C unit. Although there is a fine selection of dishes these tended to be similar in content, with only slight variations, however, the food was always cooked to a high standard and well presented. The restaurant staff willingly dealt with any special requests. There was a excellent selection of hot and cold food in the buffet breakfast restaurant. The hotel is located across the road from the lake, and approximately 20 mins walk into Bardolino. Own transport, or the local bus service, which is quite good, is a must to get around to explore other resorts and the beautiful countryside. It was particularly relaxing to take a stroll along the lakeside paths that run for several miles linking the various towns and villages.
If there is one minor criticism; the bar staff did not provide a customer copy for purchases at the bar, unlike drinks served at the dining table. I requested a balance of my account on the day before checking out and discovered a mistake. All in all, this was a most enjoyable stay and I recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: A room on a higher floor provides a better view of the pool/gardens/lake or countryside.

I must confess that i was positively impressed by this hotel. At the beginning i was slightly sceptic, because of the wide offer of special packages, treatments, massages for the guests. In the reality, this had no impact on the quality of the service, in the SPA, in the restaurant, in the reception. I personally experienced a high attention to the details, which made our staying definitely satisfactory. The welcoming from the staff was one of the best we ever had and the breakfast fits to every kind of expectation.

All the positive reviews about this hotel are bang on the money.

A superb and spotlessly clean resort with very pleasant staff. The pool areas are perfect and although the water was a little chilly I must acknowledge that it was mid-September so I’ll look forward to returning in a hotter month next year.

The 5 courses at dinner are amazing and the restaurant staff are very attentive but not intrusive (a special mention goes to Vito who was brilliant all week)

It is indeed a good 20 minutes to Bardolino town centre but it's a pleasant walk and the town is absolutely delightful.

My only very slightly negative point was that one of the bar staff could learn to smile a little more as she always appeared that she was having a bad day.

Otherwise, first rate and looking forward to a 10 night stay next year.

Stayed here in September and was delighted with the hotel. Fabulous room, nice touches. Huge beds, very comfortable. Nice view across pool, you could just see the lake over the tree tops.

Buffet breakfast very good, lots of choice but when it came to the cooked items it was much the same each day but having said that what was there was good.
Dinner was buffet salad bar followed by waiter service and then buffet desserts. All excellent.

Pool facilities were the best. A huge main pool, the smaller pool being devoted to different jacuzzis, they even had two bicycles under the water. Only criticism was the water was quite cold. If you wanted something warmer the indoor pool was lovely with a specific area of jacuzzis.

Distance from Bardolino walking was about 20 minutes, very pleasant around the edge of the lake.

Ferries were fun although sometimes expensive. To compare, one two hour trip on the ferry cost 46 euros for two. The bus back which went all around the edge of the lake cost 8 euros for two. Both very pleasant journeys.

A sail on the hotels yacht is well worth it, quite an experience but book as soon as you arrive or you may be disappointed.

Lidl 2 minutes walk from hotel, very handy.

Would definitely return.

We visited the Caesius in late June for the fifth time in five years. I've posted a review previously, but just wanted to say that the service and standards in the hotel are still excellent.
The food is of a high quality with plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner and the staff are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive.
The facilities are well maintained and you can always find a quiet spot around the pools or grounds.
The bedrooms are spotlessly clean with air conditioning, mini bar and safe and the towels are changed daily and the sheets at least twice a week.
Can't fault this hotel and already planning our visit for next year!

Very relaxing holiday at the side of the lake.Fantastic staff who where attentive to detail and carried out their work in a proffesional manner. The accommodation was superb and met our every need. Good luck to Vito who I am sure has an exciting and rewarding career ahead of him.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet location the rooms in the 600 area is the furthest from the hub.

We stayed at the Caesius in August for our honeymoon and had a brilliant time. There was a complimentary bottle of prosecco on arrival and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel is located in a quiet spot set back from the main road and about a 20 minute stroll from the main town of Bardolino. The facilities were first class, rooms were spotless and the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food in the restaurants was amazing and we've still not got used to just eating the typical 3 course meal back in England! Would definitely recommend this hotel without reservation (although we did book ;)!

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel (furthest away from the lake) are quieter as they don't overlook...
