My husband and I recently returned from a long weekend in Italy. Our last night we stayed at Tenuta la Pergola. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer! Although we had a little difficulty finding the place (it was at the end of a long driveway with a closed gate), we immediately loved it when we drove up. The views of the olive grove, vineyard, and Lake Garda were breathtaking. The bed and breakfast sat up on a hill overlooking the lake and away from the crowds. We were greeted immediately by the owner, Sarah, who showed us around. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Our favorite things were the "relaxing area" (a cleared, grassy area with beanbag chairs) and breakfast. We loved the assortment of homemade pastries, coffee, strawberries, and organic yogurt from a local dairy. We,of course, tried the olive oil made there and took home several bottles. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back again!
