“Lovely friendly restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

This is a really lovely restaurant with a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, especially Andreas who was exceptionally helpful, the service was second to none.

Well worth a visit (or two).

“Super restaurant - a little expensive, considering placement.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

We visitet Bardolido in May 2013 and dined in a lots of restaurants. This was one of the best. Super service from the male waiter, who is good at languages as opposed to the femeale owner. The food was good and the olace is cozy, but is not in central Bardolino. We kan highly recommend this restaurant. Don' miss it if You stays in Bardolino.

“Gem on Bardolino's Main Street.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013 via mobile

Went here as it stays open later for lunch than most other restaurants in Bardolino (3pm vs 2pm).
Glad we did. Friendliest owner ever who took the time to talk about the menu and make small talk with the family.
Amazing antipasti of fresh mozzarella with Parma ham. Mozzarella was one of the best I've ever tried, while the ham was subtle.
Main dish of tortellini with truffles and mushroom and this was fantastic as well.
Kid friendly place and they can adjust the menu to meet the needs of the kids picky palate.
Rustic environment and we sat in private side room with fireplace which was plenty loud with the Italian locals.

One of only 2 restaurants that stay open in the winter.

“By far the best resaurant in the area.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

From the road its easy to miss because of its small size but don't let this fool you, through the back is a lovely sitting garden with big unmbrellas for shade and bannana trees (which if you stare at long enough you can see them grow).
When you enter the building you are greeted with an array of history, the building itself is one of the oldest in the town and boasts quite stunning decor.
The staff are extremely nice and welcoming and have excellent linguistic abilities, between them speaking English German Dutch and Italian.
All this plus good value for money!!. Excellent.
If ever I do return to Lake Garda this might have to be one of the first places on my to do list.
