Description: The Loggia Rambaldi, a 16th-century building by the school of the architect Giulio Romano, looks onto the harbour of Bardolino right where the lake, coming further inland after the Belvedere bay, opens up to become a welcoming amphitheatre. It was built towards the end of the 1500s by the Marquis Girolamo Rambaldi, who conceived it as a belvedere on the lake facing his stately home in Bardolino. The Loggia has survived the centuries and is witness to an ambitious project that was later modified. Fortunately, neither the erosion of the elements nor that resulting from changing customs have interfered with its architectural worth, and it stands today as one of Bardolino’s most precious buildings. The outcome is a setting that is both simple and harmonious, where historical charm merges with the warmth and attention generated by individuals who have chosen professional catering not only because it is a long family tradition, but above all because they are passionate about their work. The dining room is divided lengthwise into three ‘naves’ by columns that also support the beautiful vaulted ceiling and it features a large fireplace that gives warmth and additional atmosphere. It is without doubt a splendid setting for any occasion.

“great atmosphere, variety and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

we have just come back from Bardolino to attend a friends wedding. the afternoon reception and evening banquet were really well done with great food. the afternoon antipasti was my favourite.
the beauty with La Loggia is that you can dine at the front by the lake, move inside to a cosy bar area or have a drink and nibbles at the back where there is a double storey room with doors on to the side street with more shaded seating.
the staff were extremely friendly and the time flew by as we celebrated into the early morning.
no, it was not the best meal i have ever had but it was high quality and the atmosphere created by the different eating and drinking areas make it a must visit and great venue for a party!

“Very nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013 via mobile

Ate here a few times, always very good! When we had to wait for a table we were given a glass of prosecco on the house, equally we once popped in to share a bottle of wine and were given a pizza (every where provides snacks with alcohol which I like a lot but its not usually a pizza). The food was very in general very good, the polenta could have done with a big dose of seasoning but everything else was very pleasant.

“Cold fillet steak!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013 via mobile

Very busy restaurant on the promenade. We were told by waiter 15 minute wait, not a problem as very busy and had waited 15/20 the night before just along a bit, that night we had enjoyed people watching while we waited and then delicious food in a laid back friendly atmosphere. However, we were then shown into a very hot bar area inside to wait where they seemed surprised we wanted to order a drink, which never came until we were seated outside again! Ordered food-myself a delicious pasta dish and my husband a fillet steak which he ordered medium done-food came so quickly that no way could the steak be medium done. The steak looked a amazing, but it was freezing cold, obviously pre-seared earlier and supposed to be re heated! Staff were overworked, running between tables with no table getting personal attention, orders were being forgotten and head waiter was only interested in racking and stacking them in. Will not be back, due to poor service, poor food and in and out in an hour even with the wait! We're on holiday eating out at night should be chilled and relaxed.

“Good option in busy evening.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

The restaurant is on promenade, usually fully booked, very busy, but I must say, I was really surprised with the quality of meals and the price as well.
I am close to give 5 stars, but there is better restaurant here in Bardolino I gave 5, so 4 is fair enough.
We had octopusy, smoked fish capraccio, lamb chops (very, very good) and tuna.
All together, highly recommended!!!
