“Memorable meals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

This was by far the best restaurant we visited during out two week trip round Emilia R and Le Marche.
A veritable jewel - wonderful setting, wonderful ambiance, wonderful service and more than wonderful food and wine.
Luca and his wife are doing a fantastic job with this delightful place. We went on a Thursday evening and were so impressed that we immediately reserved a table for the Saturday evening - good idea, because it is very popular with the local Italians!
The food really is so good and the people unbelievably friendly. How they manage to keep the prices so reasonable for such high quality fare, is beyond me. All I know is that we shall return the next time we are in town.
If you visit Ascoli Piceno on holiday or on business, do not leave town without visiting this truly remarkable restaurant.

“Mangia!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

I actually stumbled upon this restaurant as it was on the same street as my hotel, and it was serendipitous that I did! Even without a reservation, I was warmly greeted and invited in. I was the first inside but was soon joined by many others! I don't know what was best....the charm, the food, the service, the ambiance, the price, the people? All were wonderful! Would highly recommend and return!

“You will never be disappointed!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

I believe this must have been our fourth visit to this restaurant over the last two years. We never skip this place when we're around. You really get good value for your money here!

If you're looking for local (Le marche) food, this is an excellent address. The local antipasti dish is fabulous, but we went this time for a superb tagliatelle al funghi porcini. For main course, I went for a meat dish. If you like meat, don't skip this address: the meat is simply excellent here.

Antipasti, main course and and bottle of water and wine for a price of € 55 (two persons). Why would you go elsewhere?

One little remark: it was extremely hot in the restaurant that night. The airco was on, but couldn't clearly handle the heat that day. We never had that same expereience before, so I assume this was due to the exceptional wheather conditions that day (+ 40° C).

“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

From the moment we entered this restaurant we knew we were in the right place. It was small and intimate yet fun! We were nicely greeted ( we had asked our hotel, Residenza 100 Torri, wonderful as well) to make us a reservation. From our antipasti to dolce, everything was wonderful. We talked to fellow diners from Ascoli to Boston and had a wonderful time with delicious food. We give Ristorante Piccolo Teatro an A+!

“Been coming to this town for 11 years....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

My colleague and I have been visiting this town for several years, having an art program here in the summer. This restaurant, new in the last 2 years, came as a complete surprise. Four of us all had an excellent meal, different local appetizers followed by pasta courses, all home made pastas, and a very nice local passerina. Coffee and shared 2 desserts, all for under 80 euros! Excellent food, and one of the proprietors is Diletta, a veteran of a local pizza restaurant (she is the dark brunette).
Absolutely lovely service. The locals like this place. The meat courses look very nice. The interior is one large vaulted chamber with a large red venetian chandelier. Seems more geared towards couples in the evening though I sensed families would be more than welcome. We'll probably come back for our final night here. Great find in a town filled with options.
