The best thing about Elda Country House is Elda -she is just gorgeous, making us so welcome and making us feel like family. My daughter turned 22 while we were there and she even made us a special cheesecake and gave us some wine! Best cheesecake I've ever had too. The place is gorgeous -the apartment, the pool area, the village, everything! We loved walking the 2 minutes to the shops and buying fresh produce to cook in the lovely little kitchen. Her dog loves chasing ball and is adorable too. Great place to drive to other towns -Cortona is exquisite. You can also catch the bus out the front into Arezzo- don't have to have a car.

Ms Elda was taking care of us as if we were her family, and we can say that we made an excellent choice deciding to stay in her country house.
The place looks even better in reality than it does on photos.
The house was our base camp for daily trips that we made all over Tuscany for 11 days in July. As it is seven kilometers away from the beautiful town of Arezzo, the evenings were pleasurable and cool enough, so that we have enjoyed refreshing evening drinks in the garden by the pool and a good sleep afterwards.

Although there were some unexpected technical problems with the pool and the garden (due to the recent flooding that they suffered earlier this summer) our host and her son (that lives in the other house on the same property), made extra effort to restore the place to it's full functionality.
The breakfasts that Elda served us each morning were called by my sons as: "breakfast in paradise" - need not say more.
The only problem you may find is if you do not know the word of Italian - because Elda does not speak English.
But, we managed to communicate quite well - me trying to speak a few words of Italian, and Elda understanding a few basic words in English.
However, her son speaks English very well - so he gave us his phone and we could have counted on his assistance in case we needed one.

If you are looking for a quiet place near some of the most charming Tuscany’s towns – look no more because this is the right place to choose.

Just this short review to let everybody know about this small, cosy B&B near Arezzo, Tuscany. Everything was perfect, from the accomodation (both the room and the bathroom were clean and wonderfully furnished!) to the host, Mrs. Elda, whose cakes at breakfast were something unforgettable! A must if around Arezzo!
