“Excellent B&B in the heart of Tucany”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

This B&B is the healthiest place imaginable. It sits up on a hilltop with postcard views of the Tuscan landscape. The entire area - rooms, pool, landscaping is just immaculate. Emanuele treats every guest as if you are a long lost cousin. My girlfriend wanted to (still wants) to take him home with us. There are only 3 or 4 rooms so you will not be crowded.
It is a ways out of Arezzo, but just off a main road so you must have a car to get to it, but once you are there you will agree - it's well worth the extra driving.
Don't be shocked by the little drive up to the house from the main road - yes it's very steep - as is all the land around you. Breakfast is fantastic and every guest we met was wonderful.
I think the bed was a memory foam mattress - very comfortable. The workmanship of doors and windows i found fascinating - I had to take photos of them. You will like this place.

Room Tip: Come to Draggo for relaxation or if you are between cities - it's an Oasis.

We had a lovely stay at Poggio del Drago. The neighbourhoud is nice, beautiful and very quite, relax,... in the middle of the Tuscan hills, lovely ! Nice pool and the B&B is very nice and modern. It really was our cup of tea !
And last but not least, the owner of the B&B, Emanuele, we just loved him as well. every morning we could hear him laugh, his optimism showed us more about the italian way of living. If it's possible we will for sure come back !

Room Tip: room Ophelia was the nicest room I think.

Clean, cozy and modern B&B with a lovely view. Emanuelle is very nice and friendly - he even made us late breakfast which is very sweet of him! He's also very helpful and gives good recommendations for restaurants and vineyards - we still raved about the food and wine! Staying at this B&B is definitely the best part of our trip and wished we had stayed longer!

charming and very clean accommodations, delightful owner, great pool with lovely view. overall a perfect little stay in the tuscan countryside. well off the beaten track, so a car is very useful!

we would absolutely stay there again

Room Tip: one of the rooms seemed to be quite a bit smaller, so request one of the larger rooms.

We stayed at this wonderful B&B with our two children aged 12 and 10. We had a room with extra bed, plenty of space in room with a beautiful ensuite. Aircon very welcoming and TV to watch the Olympics late at night. Our girls loved the pool and what a view! The breakfast was simply superb and we loved talking to all the other guests around the table. The surrounding villages, towns and cities were all within an easy reach. The train to Florence from Arezzo was a nice break from driving and we so loved the vilage of Cortona - our highlight of the stay. The recommendations for dinner were spot on and only wished we had stayed longer!

a very everyday helpful Emanuelle, you can see he is enjoying making his guests feel home and happy and make them forget their jobs at home. The rooms are cosy and clean, we were thinking about something missing in this b&b, there wasn't. Emanuelle has thought about every detail. The area is very quiet but also near the road to visit many villages, Arezzo, Cortona are nearby, but don't forget to relax at the swimmingpool! Well done Emanuelle!!

Room Tip: Every room will be perfect!

Great B&B, Emanuele! You are doing so many things right: The breakfast is great, and its nice to meet the other guests on the table, exchange ideas, talk about the region! The rooms are very comfortable and the triple (where Emanuele agreed and immediately organized for another bed for our little boy) was perfect for our family! The pool is a welcome "cool down" after a warm summer day in the nice tuscan villages Emanuele had indicated we might visit! Oh, and Emauele's consiglio to have dinner at an Osteria (forgot the name, unfortunately, vignaioli or something like that) was also very good: nice place, good service, delicious food!

All in all, the only thing we regret is not having stayed there for more than 2 nights, as we had to travel back to Switzerland...

Grazie mille, Emauele, i speriamo de ritornare!
