We only spent one night at Torre Cepollini, as we were on our way to meet friends in Alassio, but we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The 3-room B&B is in the center of the old town in Albenga, right next door to multiple restaurants and bars. It's located in the old castle tower -- and the owners are still in the process of renovating the exterior. Although the outside still looks a bit rough, the interior has been fully renovated and is absolutely charming. The rooms are simple but lovely, and each has their own bathroom. http://www.torrecepollini.it/eng/index.html
The B&B is run on a daily basis by Michael, who provided great and personal service while we were there. He met us outside of the town and showed us where to park when we arrived, helped us with our luggage (even allowing us to store some things at his home -- since we had a fully packed car), and brought a wonderful breakfast in the morning. It was the beginning of the offseason, so we were the only guests -- but Michael made sure we were well taken care of.
The beach is a lovely 20 minute walk, which allows you to see the rest of Albenga -- but I much preferred the old town center. Also, FYI -- you are not allowed to drive into the old town center, but there is free parking just outside -- and it's a very short walk to the B&B (2 minutes).
Overall, this was a very charming and unique place to stay and we will definitely come back when we're in the area!
