“Beautiful and friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

We arrived very late, after 10.30, because we got lost, and the signora made us a beautiful dinner of local foods on the spur of the moment.
The rooms are beautiful and modern, the grounds lovely. The area is fantastic. I would definitely go again.

We stayed here as an overnight stop on our way down thru to Tuscany from UK. Andrea was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. This is a typical agro tourist place with stunning views. The breakfast was lovely , and Andrea offered to either provide an evening meal or book us into local restaurant (as we arrived quite late). Our room was very clean and all we needed for the location. We will be staying again , for longer next time , as this area is truly beautiful.

Room Tip: Not easy to find the right road out of alba , but once you are on it , is easy to find.

A very well kept and friendly "agriturismo" small hotel. It is situated among hazel trees and vineyards very centrally in Langhe, a few km from Alba and just outside the Barbaresco region (between Barbaresco and Barolo).

My parents and I spent a long weekend in Piedmont to visit the wine region of Nebbiolo. We stayed at the Cascina Giardini with two rooms and private kitchen. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome by the owners Andrea and his very friendly mother. The rooms were really nicely furnished, from the bed room you had a great view towards the hazelnut trees surrounding the hill and the vineyards of the area. The B&B is situated just outside of Ricca, a small village that belongs to the city of Alba, on top of a marvelous hill. The breakfast is prepared with a lot of effort and offers different sweet dishes typical for the region. Andrea takes great care of the guests and makes a lot of extra effort to ensure that you feel at home. After check-in we received a lot of information with regard to sightseeing and travel tips, as well as culinary recommendations of the area. We made trips to several famous cities such as Barolo and Barbaresco, and visited a vine cellar for a tasting which Andrea had organized for us. All in all we were really happy having spent the weekend at Cascina Giardini, especially because one could just sit outside or take a walk around this great area and enjoy the nature and countryside. We definitely recommend this B&B as it gives you a really different inside into the really warm Italian mentality! Thanks to Andrea and his mother who made it truly great to stay there.

Room Tip: The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful, you should definitely take an apartment with a kitc...

We needed a place to stay during a short trip to Piemonte. I made a last minute booking, meaning that we arrived within one hour of booking. Didn't had the time to do much research, so our surprise was huge to arrive here and received a very warm welcome! You're on a hill between the hazelnut trees, looking towards the vineyards on the opposite hills. It's a beautiful scenery! The rooms are basis, but we don't need much luxury. It has what you need: clean, good bed, good shower! And that for a very good price. Andrea gave us good tips about where to have dinner. We wanted to stay in Alba at first, but we were glad we didn't do so. We even stayed longer than we at first wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I spent a few days at the Cascina Giardini last week, and although the weather wasn't very nice we had a great time. The owners, Andrea and his mother, are very welcoming and they are making you feel at home at once. The rooms are really nice furnished, spotless clean, and our had also a balcony. The breakfast is very good with lot of choices of food, from eggs to cakes and freshly squeezed orange juice, cheese and home made jams, different every day ! The location is not in the middle of the vineyards, but for the very fair price it's really worth it anyway. We will definitely stay there again next time !
