“Clean and nice - met our expections”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2011

We stayed here one night and it was very nice. It was kinda hard to find just becuase the road you turn off from the highway onto is tiny and you think (after you miss your turn) you'll find an easier road to get there. But there's not one. It wouldn't have been an issue for me if my husband wasn't the one driving. He missed the turns 2 or 3 times because he didn't believe it could be the right one. Anyway, the hotel was very clean and modern/contemporary in design. It didn't feel very Sicilian, but we chose it b/c we thought it should be good. It was! There was a balcony so we could hang our wet clothes on it to dry. You have to put the key on the slot on the wall to use the lights or a/c which worked great for us. if you opened the balcony door the ac turns off-fyi. The people at the front desk were efficient but didn't go into great explanations about things unless you ask. But they did speak English. The pool is huge! We only were in it for a half hour before they closed it (early) to add chlorine, but that wasn't a really big deal. It was just nice to wash off the dirt and sweat. We went to the restaurant at the hotel and the food was really good, maybe a little expensive. Note to everyone: if you order fish in Europe expect the whole fish, head, skin, and all. The bed was comfortable, though we had to get some blankets out of the closet because there wasn't one on the bed. The blankets didn't seem as nice as other things but they worked fine. I did hear the front desk clerk talking to someone on the phone whose ac didn't work-they said they'd have someone come look at it tomorrow (nobody currently there who could). This seemed a little strange-they didn't offer to put them in a different room with ac that worked or anything. BUT OUR experience was fine!

A perfect paradise, friendly staff, beautiful garden with an abundance of fruit to pick. We Loves this place, the pool, the sea, the rooms, the restaurant and bar... Will be back, hoping for more!

Having stayed at BW Hotel Kaos before, we remembered it as a pleasant and comfortable hotel with nice, bright and big rooms.
Unfortunately we where given an older room this time, which where worn down with a noisy AC. The door to the room almost didn’t fit the frame, as light and noise went straight through.
Front desk staff seams a bit nonchalant. Nice big pool area with lots of sunbeds.

Hotel restaurant was fine, with friendly staff. A but overpriced comparing quality and size of the dishes, but being a hotel restaurant and the only restaurant around, this was expected.
Breakfast was typical Italian, with a wide selection of pastry.
Tip: Espresso and cappuccino can be ordered directly from the kitchen. Only coffee available on the buffet is instant coffee from a machine.
Hotel location is remote, but easy to reach by car.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the new section of the hotel

Hi, stayed here for 2 nights on a 1 week tour of the island. The room we had was a good size, the bathrooms were particular modern and cool (rain shower etc) and nice and spacious, all clean/comfortable etc. The front desk were helpful and friendly. The hotel is out of the way so to speak so a car is suggested, we had one, so in the two evenings we were there we drove in to Port Empedocle, as opposed to Agrigento, which we only saw during the day but were not too keen on. This hotel is well located to visit the Lost Temples. The only thing I'd suggest to the hotel is to serve breakfast outside using the space/grounds they have there instead of inside which with the heat and lack of view does not give the holiday feeling, other than that no issues with this hotel.

First the positives...The setting is beautiful. The pool area, large and well maintained, was welcome after the long drive from Palermo. In the evening we dined (two nights) on the terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. Spectacular. The food - both breakfast and dinner - was not the best during our week in Sicily. Our room was clean and comfortable. The A/C was on but difficult to control. The decor is 'modern' but not really functional (for example, a large glass door in the shower). A small gym tucked away in the basement has the basics...treadmill, some free weights etc. The main downfall was the staff in particular the front desk. Poorly organized and downright rude. It took over five hours for everyone in our small group to have rooms assigned. Other groups arriving at the same time had the same problem. This has been mentioned in other reviews so clearly no a "one off."

This hotel is aptly named - KAOS! But is should be Chaos! This was the worst place we stayed during our 3 weeks in Sicily. The service was unfriendly and unhelpful. Air conditioning didn't work and when we complained they kept telling us they'd turn it on and to wait. We waited for 2 days and no a/c. Other guests were complaining as well and they told them the same thing-wait! Internet was not working for the 2 days we were there. The guy who fixes things was shouting at the front desk staff and no one seemed to care.

The hotel room was large for three people. We had a great view of the countryside. The pool area was very large, perfect for relaxing before or after visiting the valley of the temples. The hotel restaurant was good. It was very convenient by car. A spectacular beach is just 30 min north of the hotel in Eraclea Minoa. Don't miss this sandy beach backed by pine trees.
