Villa Athena is perfectly located in the Parco Archeologica in Agrigento. The hotel is beautiful and elegant without glitz. My suite had a view of the Temple Concoria and a lovely private patio. The rooms were comfortable and attractive. the bath was a dream. The staff obviously checks your dinner reservation because, each night when I returned the suite was freshened. I suggest this be saved for the end or perhaps the middle of your trip because it is so relaxing. Lunch on the patio with its breathtaking view is highly recommended and the breakfast was delicious with everything you could want. It was worth every penny. They arranged a tour with Lorenzo Capraro who is knowledgeable, speaks English fluently, and adds lots of cultural info.
