Froders guide rates this hotel as over rated, but the best location in town. I would say that is fair. Our quoted rate for 3 people with breakfast was 180 Euros with a view. When we got there the hotel was not full so the front desk clerk offered us a small room with a view or a larger room with no view for the same price.
The view is the only reason to stay here so we took that option. Then the clerk offered us a 25 Euro discount to pay cash. Which we did.
We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was good. The service was top notch and so was the price. Breakfast was very, very good, except for the egg shells in the eggs.
The room was threadbare and old, but clean. With the exception that there were a few tiny ants in the bathroom that we killed. The garden was wonderful and the pool area was well maintained and decorated, although it was too cold to swim that night.
You can either walk to the Valley or take a 1 minute drive and be there when they open. The hotel is easy to find once you figure out how to get to the Valley.
We drove around that night and saw a few signs to other hotels in the area. But we never actually saw any. Given the ease of getting here and the view, this is a place worth staying if you can keep your expectations in check and bring a lot of cash.
