“Super Pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012

We ate here on our final night in Cornwall and we have to say the food and atmosphere surpassed all expectations. The grub is fantastic (we had a cheese burger and coronation chicken) and the Olympics added a really good pub feeling.

“Delicious food, large choice of local ales and friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

Have eaten here on many occasions, food is always tasty and comes in large portions! They have specials on everyday too, I had the blackened cod last time which was tasty and fresh and my partner had the seafood pancake which i managed to steal some of and was lovely! The sausage and mash is also delicious. Excellent value for money, similar menu to the Pierhouse next door but is cheaper and the staff are very friendly, you can sit outside overlooking the harbour.

“Pretty average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012

Stopped here for lunch and it was pretty average it's hard to get away from places chucking everything in a deep fat fryer, kids had Kiev and chips well fried, bolognese was tasty but oily! Burger and salad was grand, wouldn't go back but wouldn't say don't go either, not much help but there you have it!

“The gem of Charlestown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2012

Well what can i say except -- pay a visit. Great friendly service, tasty local food, well priced. Try the seafood pancake - it was tongue tingling - lovely. The staff were happy and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Plus the brilliant atmosphere and outside the harbour - makes me feel good about being Cornish and living in the area.
