“Great Irish Food and Drinks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

We go to Spring Lake every year, and we finally decided to try St. Stephen's on a recommendation. It was fabulous. Food and service were tops. Loved the Dublin Rolls! We will definitely be back. Sorry we missed you, Amaris.

“Great Irish fare”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

This is my favorite Irish pub in the area, and judging by the amount of time you usually have to wait to get a table, a lot of other people's, too. Everything about this place is great. Amazing food, good beer selections, buzzing crowd, cozy pub atmosphere, and usually excellent and friendly service. Sometimes there is even live entertainment. Starting with their home made Irish soda bread is always the best way to kick off the meal. My favorite dish is the shepherd's pie. It's to die for. And if you can, make sure that you get Patti as your waitress - she's the best and will take care of you. Unfortunately I have been to St. Stephen's enough times that I've hit them on a couple bad nights. I love the chicken pot pie but the last time I got it every piece was basically fat or unwanted scraps. Not appealing. Overall, though, two thumbs up.

“Bangors and Mash”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Great Irish atmosphere with the right tapped beer to boot. Gone many times, only couple disappointments, once with subpar Bangors and Mash and once with their mussels. Tried B&M again and they were back to fabulous so don't know what happened in between. Last salmon meal was also terrific. Just wish they brought back their small lamb 'chop' appetizers. They were a killer.

“Great Food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Went here just the other night for dinner. We were a party of 5 and we seated quite quickly for a Friday evening. Our waitress had a great personality and was a joy to work with. This restaurant offers everything from steak to salads to shepards pie. Definitely something for everyone. I had the fish and chips and they were so good! A very healthy portion and so fresh. Others at the table had chicken pot pie and were quite impressed. We live in the area and will definitely be going back. In fact 2 of our group were visiting from out of state and they went back the next day for lunch!

“Dinner with a friend.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

St. Stephen's has a nice twilight dinner during the week. My friend and I frequently meet there for dinner, and have never been disappointed with the food or service.
