“Good location, but rooms needs renovation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

Good location near train station and congress area. Excellent breakfast. Been here before a few years ago, but rooms are simple and some chairs etc are damaged. The rooms are really outdated. The gym is a disaster and the rooms need better cleaning

I was here for one week in December and therefore got a really good price as the hotel was not booked out. The rooms are very comfortable, silent and big and you have a good view over the city (when you have a room in the 18th floor as I had). There is a big offer concerning breakfast, it took me that whole week to taste all the good things there. The service is also good, the staff at the reception help you quickly if there is a problem.
The gym is quite small but with 4 machines you can practice many parts of your body. The sauna is separated by sexes so you can't go there together with your girlfriend/boyfriend...;
The railway station is no 5 minutes by foot and it takes 10 to 15 minutes downtown. The next food store is a 5-10 minutes walk, for some it may not be ok, for me it was.
Definitely recommendable, but the prices can surely be higher when it is not December.

The hotel was totally suitable for my purpose. My Swedish friend booked me in here as she was having a birthday celebration on the Sunday and she cannot accommodate guests in her apartment. Location was excellent for public transport convenience from the city. I had not needed a hotel close to tourist spots so it was no problem, but I understand it would not be suitable for a tourist. It is obviously geared up for conferences and exhibitions at the centre close by. Very comfortable room, and excellent choices for breakfast.

Just came home from a three day long participacion at the Nordic Garden fair in Älvsjö, Stockholm, I thoiugt I´d really wanted to describe the hotel I Although the hotel is more or less specialised to accommordate visitors to the Stockholm Fair, it is a very high standard hotel. Prices are fair and the rooms are superb. Especially if you get one high up in the building. You´ll reach the city (Central Staytion) in 15 minute by the commutertrain only a few hundres meters away. Excellent parkingspaces in the Hotell basement.
Of course there is a gym and a sauna and recently a Top floor bar was built at the 19th floor.
Fully equipped bathroom with both shower and bathtub. TV and coffemachine and of course a minibar. There is no sights to be seen around this part of Stockholm, mind you, but the relaxation att the hotel is quite enough.
Restaurant is good, with a rich breakfast table, as long as you don´t order Hamburgers. I made that misstake last year.

Room Tip: Choose a Standard twin room even if you are visiting single.

I ended up choosing to stay at Rica Talk Hotel as this was the only reasonable place that I could find that night in Stockholm due to a hockey match happening the same day.

First,this is not a great location if you are planning to visit the city.Since I had no intentions to visit the city on this business trip, it turned out to a great discovery by accident. Huge bright rooms with great views, the largest breakfast buffet that I have ever experienced in Europe and the gourmet dinner menu that lived up to its name. I think this is a hotel that I would go back just for the food experience that it offers

Stayed there a couple of years ago with my family. Though the hotel is 15 min from the city centre we really enjoyed the stay. There was no sightseeing around, but we hadn't expected any as we had been looking for a comfy place to relax and to sleep. We had a nicely furnished room with a fully-equipped bathroom, TV and WIFI, good breakfasts downstairs. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Oh, and we really enjoyed the glass wall in the room!
