There are some interesting exhibits here, but on the whole they're fairly repetitive and I didn't come away feeling like I'd learnt a great deal. It's worth a visit if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go. Compared to other museums in Oman it's pretty good, but that's not really saying much. The old examples of khanjars and guns are quite interesting, but the exhibits of examples of womens' dress styles looked like polyester made-in-China outfits. Didn't feel very authentic. All in all the different exhibits don't really form a coherent whole.
