“Great food in a laid back Aussie Pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Coming from a small country town, having lunch here felt like coming home. The humpty doo was super laidback, service was fast and friendly. The food came in humungous serves and was great. I had the buffalo burger and was thrilled to have a burger where pineapple beetroot egg and bacon comes standard. They know what a shandy is. We sat down and had some beers, put on a bet and just had fun for a couple of hours. Highly recommended

“An experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

Certainly great for people watching and seeing some seriously true blue aussie blokes chain smoking and gambling. The Barra burger was good although we did ask for them to leave out a lot of the ingredients including, pineapple, beetroot, cheese, egg and bacon… As this seemed like serious over kill and how would you even taste the lovely fish with all that going on? So pared back to just fish, lettuce, tomato and onion it was very nice. Had to leave fairly promptly when the unbelievably bad BO of a nearby patron became too much to bear. Service was good and friendly.

“Bit rough but grat food and staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

Dont be put off that this place looks a bit rough around the edges, the food is great and the staff are very friendly. Well worth stopping, having a beer, and some lunch if you have time!

“Eye-opener!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

Stopped for lunch on way to Litchfield National Park - great burgers, interesting place to people watch! If you don't like cigarette smoke and dogs roaming around while you eat, keep driving .....

“A Real Top End Pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

I have been here 3 times, and always enjoyed it. There is nothing fancy about this place, but the beers are very cold, and the food is real pub grub. Great prices for food, and a very relaxed attitude here.
