“Good place to stay after arriving from abroad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

We booked this hotel because we were arriving in Munich on a late flight(made even later by a hold up in the baggage hall). 15 minutes after leaving the airport we were in the Daimerwert hotel in Moosining where the evening staff had stayed up to greet us. As this is a family run hotel, the reception is not on 24 hour duty.

The room was very large tastefully designed and clean with an enormous en-suite bathroom. Needless to say, taking a shower was a luxurious experience. Mattresses were very comfortable (although the pillows were a bit lumpy). The only problem was that our room was on a main road so if you want to sleep with the windows open then prepare for some serious noise.
The following mornings breakfast was satisfactory and the staff were very friendly.

I stayed for one night at this hotel after a flight from Edinburgh which arrived late in the evening. It is a short drive from the airport along quiet roads (be sure to go out the eastern access from the airport, NOT the main route to the autobahn) which are mainly unlit between the small villages you pass through. It is a traditional southern Bavarian hotel, with a lot of wood finishings. Even though I arrived late, I was expected and welcomed. The staff, and some locals in the bar, were very friendly. My room was spotless with all the amenities one would expect. Breakfast was the typical buffet style that you find in that part of Germany with a good selection of fruit juice (the orange juice tasted as if it had been slightly over diluted), cereals, rolls, cold meats, cheeses, cheese spreads, yoghurts, jams etc. There were also some boiled eggs - the only cooked item I could see.
I chose this hotel as a convenient place for an overnight stop after my flight, being close enough to the airport but without airport prices, and I will certainly use it again in similar circumstances. But it also could be somewhere you spend a bit longer as in the nearby town of Erding (yes, where Erdinger beer comes from!) there is a spa called the Therme Erding which apparently has a very good reputation.

From the moment you enter, you feel very welcome. Friendly, clean, and good location for nearby Munich. Free parking across the street. Great beer garden. Breakfast with room. English menu. Drive to neaby Erding and catch the train to downtown Muich. Ask questions to get to the right stop in Munich.

We stayed here one night before flyiung back home from Munich. Hotel is very nice, owners are extremely friendly. Small advice: visit Therme Erding! It`s only 7 km away from hotel. The biggest thermal centre in Europe with 25 saunas is a great place to relax!

My stay for 10 days at this hotel was a wonderful experience due to the warmth of the hospitality offered by the entire staff. Very reasonable considering that wi-fi and breakfast were included and not extra. The hotel was being renovated and it is very up-to-date but still retained the charm of a country place. Quality restaurant is packed with local people and visitors. I will certainly return!

Selected this hotel as a good option with a bit of character close to the Munich airport. It does have charm to it, with a bier garten outside & a sizable restaurant inside. The service was friendly & the food good. We stayed one night before our departure. The room was comfortable, clean & roomy – on the top floor, up several flights of circular stairs. I thought it was a nice little work-out, but a bit of a concern for my father with rheumatoid arthritis. He managed. There’s almost nothing of interest around the hotel, as I went for an extensive walk – did find a bakery with pretzels a ways up the street, and also a sizable grocery store on another street. (The others were happy to sit in the bier garten enjoying the local beverages.) The one big negative, which turned out to be significant but out of the hotel’s control, was the dog-gone traffic at the T intersection outside – big trucks and such rumbling by, all night long. The nice old building would actually shake. So we didn’t get a good night’s sleep the night before our flight home. Others in our party had a room on the other side of the hall, which did not face the streets; they did not notice the traffic (but they’re truck drivers…). Breakfast was served in a quaint, cozy breakfast room. It was sufficient to start the day, attractively laid out, with a nice selection. We gassed up the rental car across the street before departure, and were just fine returning it at the airport, which was an easy drive. I would recommend this hotel for those heading to the airport, but ask for an interior room or bring ear plugs. The hotel itself would rate a Good to Very Good (charm, cleanliness, comfort, food & service), plus its convenience to the airport, however the all-night traffic and the lack of things of interest nearby would probably reduce the rating to Average overall. The two others in my party who slept well would probably rate it Very Good.

Room Tip: Ask for one away from the street!
