“Great weekend stay at best beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014 via mobile

A very good place to stay on Morjim beach, it's got very good tents and log huts, I stayed on the best log hut (No 18) facing the beach.

While I had a reasonable comfortable stay, I feel the stay could have been terrific if the hotel had the following amenities:
(A) telephone in each room.
(B) room service
(C) better sanitation in the toilets, the one in my hut was very stinky.
(D) improved housekeeping, the water ran out on Monday morning when I was in a rush to get ready

Goods
The location of this resort is amazing. Just next to Morjim beach, probably one of the best beaches in Goa..
I even liked the breakfast that was served and the quality of food for lunch and dinner was very good.
I stayed in this resort for 4 days and 3 nights and i did not think it was very expensive considering the location of the resort.
Bads:
I stayed at their log cabins and i did not find some very basic amenities - like a telephone in the room for calling up the reception and asking for services like house keeping etc and a mirror in the room (though it had one in the toilet).
The worst part of the stay was there was no house keeping done even after asking for it and the toilet, it had so many leakages.

The property is nice but needs more attention and maintenance.

Thr is no need to write about Goa holiday reviews....because everyone who has visited goa has its own cherished memory irrespective where he stayed as its all in the air(happiness). I have been to goa and stayed many places but this one i would like to rave about. Montego Bay resort the location is bang on Morjim beach and it up North to Baga, calangute many people go to south goa foe secluded beaches with lesser crowd. I have to this place covers all that with a amazing stay. This place overlooking morjim beach and beach is 1min walk with a private road of resort from your room.

This place has fixed structure and tent room. We had booked fixed rooms but whn we reached we shifted to tents ......and must say we took a great decision......all tents are AC and well kept....and with a decent bath area with hot water running tap.

We were group pf 3 couples with one Kid each age 4-6yrs and we did'nt felt any problem staying in tent...when i say tent the it is near to luxury tent.

They have got well stocked bar and a good restaurant over looking the sea...its grt place to spend ur evening and party thr under the open sky restaurant.

They dont provide room service in tent. Food is decent and reasonably priced. Break fast is very basic so dont confused yourself if they offer u rooms with BF as its a very regular spread with Tea coffe, juices, breads, one Indian dish, sausages, Sandwiches oh while writing am realizing they have a quite spread but taste wise its very basic.

They have got a pool which is a temporary pool made of vinyl good for kids and adults can just take a dip.

This place is pet friendly.

We stayed here in Dec 2nd week 2013 and we were happy about our stay and will definitely come again here. Hotel staff is helpful and very cooperative. They will help u with the bikes and cars on rent.

Out side the resort on the beach u have couple of shacks which are decent.

Next to the resort there is famous shack BORA BORA which is open 24 X 7 all days so some time we used to go thr to eat in night as resort restaurant closes by 11pm.

But BORA BORA was not impressive if you u move ahead in the same lane thr are some restaurants and were looking good we didnt checked though.

Over good place and good crowds come to stay there when we were their it was full the some indian and foreigners. Over all good place and lighten ups your mood.

Room Tip: Try to take tens near to the beach, all tents have open sit out place in front so u enjoy the natura...

Firstly the Beach - Morjim beach - It is one of the best beaches for swimming away from the crowd. went there on 1st Jan ( peak season time) but still it was very less crowded. The water is clear and
white sand makes it perfect for relaxing. there are couple of shacks which serve good food.

Now the resort - we spent the day here ( did not stay). The resorts huts seemed very nice with all the amenities available. There restaurant is facing the beach which gives an excellent view and the food served there is also very good. Even in case you are not staying there spending a entire day with sun, pure sand, and sea fun is highly recommended.

On our 9 day trip to Goa - this was our 1st halt for 2 nights. It was rather a very good experience.

The resort is well located on Morjim beach which is not very crowded and is lively at the same time.
The resort was a lot of cute sitting out options - great for breaking the monotony while you spend the whole day idling about.
The food was good and very reasonably priced.
Service - very quick yet unobtrusive.

The breakfast was good quality but was very basic (eggs, sausages, cereal, bread, fresh fruits, juice, tea/coffee) - can be slightly more elaborate.
The bathrooms of log cabin are very small and had some leakage issue - which was fixed when I complained.
The log cabin sit out was a bit boring and too small compared to the tents.
The pool is too small and looks like a make shift one - can be better.

Overall it was a good experience and the most reasonably priced one on our 9 day visit to Goa. We infact went back to Montebay for breakfast again on our 8th day in Goa and spent a good couple of hours on their deck area :)

Room Tip: Tents may be better - as they have a large sit out with swings and are closer to beach. but choose...

Went there this january.
Excellent place finding it is a bit hard..but thanks to google maps its simple. And bora bora cafe is a major landmark next to it.

Its a little expensive for what it offers but anywyas read along.

I was there with my family and frens stayed for 3 days.

The resort is really calm n green lots of coconut tress and hammocks tied to em,bunch of iron chairs n table around the lawn to sit n read or have some tea. All makes u feel like u r indeed in pleasasnt place for a holiday.
Do know that this is a pet friendly resort. So dont complain about their in house doggies or puppies n crows :p

We checked into the log cabin. It was really cozy n nice but the bathroom had some issue! it used to have a dirty smell each time we used the flush better check that once and then take the room.

The restaurant is ok.Just had dinner one night. I had had better goan food else where.

The complimentary breakfast is pretty simple and basic. U.ll get bored the 3rd day of the same bread jam n same fruits.

The beach facing the resort is real calm an clean.. No dirty crowd as in the beaches baga n calangute. Lots of kite surfing opportunities.

So pick this place only if u want to be just at the resort bathe in the sea have a drink n relax.

The swimming pool is pointless its like some small water tank. Its never ready before 11am!

But then the sea is just 50m from the resort.

Finally The owner Mr.Alvin is a really sweet guy .Makes sure all ur concerns r looked into. will visit soon.

We recently spent a couple of nights at the Montego Bay Resort to break our trip up - we have been staying in Calangute, so wanted a base from which to explore the northern beaches on our scooter.
Accommodation is basic - we had an air-conditioned wooden cabin -but in good repair. Great bed and great location right on the beach.
The beach here is beautiful. Nowhere near the crowds of the Baga/Calangute/Candolim strip, which was a very welcome respite.
Staff were polite, and check in/out was no hassle.
The resort has a restaurant/bar, however we cant comment as we didn't use them.
As far as budget accommodation goes, this one ticked all the right boxes for us.

Room Tip: Cabins towards the back may be quieter, as Bora Bora is right next door. This wasnt an issue for us.
