“Fantastic Hotel in a Business District”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

Fabulous hotel in a business district, but only a brief, easy metro trip from all the major tourist sites in Paris. One little caveat- if you arrive by train after dark, it can be very difficult to find the hotel. Better signage would be a plus. Room service is pricey but delicious. There is also a mall in walking distance with plenty of food/shopping, and there is a lovely little wine shop basically steps away from the hotel.

My hubby and I stayed in this 5 star hotel in Paris from aug 31 til sept 2nd 2013
We loved this hotel so clean and breakfast staff so friendly :-) drinks are way over priced at €20 prob why nobody was ever at the bar ? We had been promised a upgrade to lux room which we got and was lovely ! But didn't get any VIP welcome as promised :-/ , the lady at reception as we left at noon on Monday 2nd sept went that extra mile and printed off our boarding passes etc which really did save so much time and stress for us :) only problem is finding your way to hotel as taxis find this difficult - so we found it easier to jump on the metro into the centre - we did the open top tour buses which were well worth it to jump on and off them all day - but mostly the show called the lido ! Was what made our holiday extra special as it was fantastic !!!! Expensive like everything in Paris but soooooo worth it :)

This a great location to pick up a five star hotel in Paris for a lot less than in the centre, it's only 10 mins direct to the Arc de Triumph, easy on the Metro. A great shopping mall next door with all the cares and shops you need. It's obviously quiet at weekends if you want that, we are fortunate enough to have been to Paris a few times and have stayed in various locations, we would come back to this. Managed to get the hotel for 100 euros a night on last minute, would have paid at least 300 for something more central.
Good quality Sofitel, staff very helpful.

Situated at a modern sleek part of Paris, very close to the Metro. If you don’t mind to travel then this place is great as it is quiet and away from the city buzzing noise. But the hotel can not offer a good view as it is surrounded by other office building blocks. Compare with other 5 star hotels we have been to, this hotel’s housekeeping is definitely not at a 5 star standard. As it is Sofitel we expected more.

I booked the Prestige Suite at this hotel via agent Prestigia.com, received confirmation, they took the deposit and all looked good for a few days in Paris in September. Had an email from the hotel next day saying they had in fact double booked this suite and after my booking the availability of the suite was left open. They had booked it out to another customer after my booking, but it was my booking that got cancelled. No apology from hotel, I was offered a lesser suite but was put off by lack of contrition by the hotel. l am sure it's a nice hotel, looks great, just be careful of the booking system and get your agent to double check everything.

Brilliant 5 star hotel for a reasonable price. Rooms are beautiful and staff are very friendly. Close to Paris, just a short metro ride away which is very easy. We stayed for 3 nights and would definitely recommend for anyone on a short city break.

We shared a couples break together and managed to book what we thought was a great deal through Lastminute. Arrival to the hotel from Gare Du Nord was fine by taxi but we were somewhat bemused by the underground tunnels. The hotel staff were very welcoming at the desk and our room was pleasant and comfortable. The evening bar service was courteous and food arrived quickly after order but the area lacked ambience. Breakfast the following morning was varied but as we came towards the end of service a lot of the buffet platters were empty and there was no offer to fetch us anything we might want. Drinks in the bar were extremely expensive with 2 gin and tonics and two soft drinks costing 60euros! No nibbles offered at the bar which I would expect with a 5* and those sorts of prices. We took drinks to our room on sat evening and the dirty glasses were left by the cleaner outside our room, still there when we left on the Monday. Turndown of beds meant nothing on first evening, a single chocolate for one of us on the 2nd evening and on the third evening one each. For the prices charged it is the attention to the little details that makes it more of an experience and a 5* feel. On this occasion we did not experience and would not look to book a Sofitel hotel again.
