“Wonderful Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

My husband and I were so happy at Chateau de Sours we didn't want to leave. So we extended our vacation for another week! Perfect accommodation and amenities for us. Traveling with our infant we wanted a location where we could explore during the day and cook at home in the evening with the local fresh ingredients we discovered at the markets. The rooms are light, airy and fresh. The grounds are beautifully kept. We cant wait to return!

“Bordeaux Bliss”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013 for a stay in June 2013

L'Ecurie at Chateau de Sours was the perfect way to explore the Bordeaux region. The whole experience exceeded our expectation from the charming accomodation to the warmth of hospitality shown by he hosts.

The chateau has been beautifully restored to maintain its rustic charm with all the modern comforts. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the towels are better than a 6 star hotel. They were fluffy and warm off the heated towel rails. The kitchen is very well equipped and is perfect to cook up a feast with the produce that you can buy from the nearby markets. Chateau de Sours produces some excellent wines that you can drink on the terrace soaking up the afternoon sun. There are restaurants with in a 5 min drive when you feel like eating out in the evening.

L'Ecurie is perfectly positioned to explore nearby St Emillion and day tips to Medoc and Cap Ferret. The chateau sits in a very beautiful valley and is located close to nearby shops to pick up supplies.

The whole experience was outstanding and my only regret was that we had to leave!

“Fantastic location. Excellently appointed accommodation.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

This is a fantastic gîte - lovely, quiet location and handy for Bordeaux and other areas of interest. Very well appointed with 'all mod cons'. The welcome is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. And, of course, the wine is sans pareil - try the reds and whites as well as the still and sparkling rosés for which it is renowned. The only drawback is that a car is needed to get to the nearest restaurants and bars.

“Top spot in Bordeaux”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

This beautifully appointed and spacious 3 bedroom villa is located within the vineyard and winery. The charming host and english speaking staff ensured we had a pleasant stay. We stayed for 5 nights with another couple and the rooms we had were spacious and clean. There are comfortable queen size beds and pillows with large ensuite bathrooms in the rooms. There is a fully equipped kitchen, lovely dining table and large comfortable sofa and chairs. Lots of space which is unusual in France. The Ecurie is conveniently located close to both Bordeaux city and St. Emillion.
