A hidden gem of a hotel. Truely 5 star without the pretentiousness. All staff are so so friendly and helpful.
The room was HUGE and very comfortable. Luxury!!
Excellent breakfast.
Spa is the best one I have been to. Amazing!

Cant wait to return. Could've stayed forever....

Had afternoon tea in the library for a friends 50th. The service was great as was the tea. Plenty to eat and beautifully presented.A good selction of sanwiches and delicate cakes, scones, savoury roll and lemon posset dessert. Always a pleasure to eat here. Good value.

Room Tip: Afternoon tea in the lounge or library are lovely rooms where you can sit on lovely sofas and chairs...

Greeted by very helpful smiley staff, I have been before so went straight poolside (usually a welcome drink in brasserie first). A beautiful clean spa with many steam rooms and pools to suit anyone. Lots of space to relax and read around the pool with free fruit and butler service. All facilities clean, looked after and hygienic. Will definitely be returning! An excellent hotel that lives up to the 5* rating!

Having celebrated our ruby wedding here last year we decided to return for the final stop on our holiday tour this year. Everything was just as we remembered it - outstanding service, outstanding setting and outstanding food. Our room was a suite in the new hall and was just fabulous - so spacious !
Spent some time in the gym and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful - then moved on to the spa which was simply paradise !
The menu in the orangery was not to our liking on this occasion (perhaps 'chef Kenny' will be a hard act to follow) but our meals in the clubhouse and the Brasserie were excellent.
Without exception the staff were pleasant, courteous and helpful and contributed greatly to our holiday experience.

My son chose this hotel for his wedding, it was excellent.
The staff are very helpful and courteous. Rooms are large and very well equipped. Everything very well organised. A good selection of eating locations if staying several days.

The room was great, the food was great, the golf was great & the staff were all really helpfull apart from the concierge who told my partner when she asked for a lift to the clubhouse from the hotel that she should walk as it would be better for her ! The same person left a car blocking our exit on our departure so I VERY CAREFULLY drove around it with one tyre on the pavement.
He took exeption to this and started shouting at me that I shouldn't drive on HIS pavemant!
He was very arrogant and rude - - a shame as the rest of the stay was good - perhaps he would be better suited to a role which doesn't involve meeting people. One other point is that there is too much emhpasis placed on trying to sell more time in the spa.

Rockliffe never fails to impress. We had a suite in the old hall and it was fantastic! An upstairs seating area and a few stairs down to the massive bed and en-suite. We had a meal in the Orangery from the new Market Menu. It was fantastic and excellent value. The menu was varied and exciting and the amuse bouche and pre dessert were really special. But without a doubt the outstanding dish was the passion fruit cheese cake. Sounds like nothing too fancy but it was out of this world! And I have to recommend the Yamazake Sake Sour cocktail, so refreshing.

We spent the afternoon in the spa which was peaceful and relaxing, not too busy.

The staff in every area were extremely helpful and friendly, particularly in the Orangery where their knowledge of the food really helped the enjoyment of the evening.

This was our third visit to Rockliffe Hall and it just keeps getting better can't wait to come back for a fourth time.
