We stopped on our drive home from PEI. So after 14 hours on the road we were happy to see our stop. The room was clean, bathroom too. There was a MacDonalds within the same parking lot. Breakfast was very plain and nothing special, a lot of pre-packaged stuff. We would stay again on a long drive.

The Hotel from the highway looks relatively new but it is a few years old and in needs of some updating. The staff is friendly and fully bilingual. The bistro is great with a few video lottery machines to pass the time and take your money. The rooms were clean and confortable but typical Days Inn. Unfortunately Days Inn is no longer the flagship chain of the Wyndham group and appears to have suffered. A great chain that has served it purpose for many years but should not be written off by upper management. Continental breakfast was excellant and served in the bar area. Overall a comfortable stay.

Most Day's Inns are very basic, but what made this hotel special, were the friendly and very helpful staff. We stayed there on a holiday (June 24) where the village was having fireworks, so the clerk made sure to place us in a room on the side where we could see them from our window. (They were really great for such a small place, too.) She also suggested a pleasant walk through the village, which does have several charming, old houses. Although the rooms do not have microwaves, she took our popcorn and fixed it in the staff kitchen for us.
The continental breakfast had bagels, breads, cereals, juice, coffee and fruit. It was more than enough. Again, the staff was very kind in replenishing anything that was needed.
We were just traveling through the area, but I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, affordable room with super friendly service.

Room Tip: take a room on the village side - not the highway side

Located just off the autoroute in the small but charming village of Ste Helene, this is an ideal place to break the journey, without having to fight through city traffic. It was an extremely hot day and to walk in to our very cool room was just heaven. The room was very comfortable and there was a restaurant just across the car park where we had a nice meal. With a door opening on to the car park as well as an internal door it was very easy to take luggage in and out. Breakfast was very basic and this is the one area that could be improved. Although there were lots of trucks parked nearby and it was close to the autoroute it was surprisingly quiet.
