“Very good for a stopover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013 via mobile

Good stay in a basic countryside b&b. No radio, no tv, cumbersome wifi connection bt lots of little extras such as tissues, shower gel in bathroom and water on bedside table. Full length mirror. Good breakfast. Communal sitting room standard.

we had the chance to stop at Wendys' place on our way to Spain coming down from the Netherlands and it was a first try for us with a B&B and what a good suprise this was!

being used to hotels and wanted to try something a little diferent we really appreciated the seperate entrance for the rooms which gave us a sentiment of intimity as you are not directly linked to the house. The beds were very comftable and the room we had (I don't remember the name) was larger than our owned house room so that was also a nice suprise. The location is nicely remote but less than 30mns from the motorway (A28). We finally really enjoyed the big fresh and divercified breakfast.

we left the B&B with the fealling that the the Owners has visited multiple hotels in her life and that she has tried to create a similar place but with a homely atmosphere if this would be a hotel it would not be far off from 3 stars the only thing missing is a TV in the bedroom, but yet again that is not why you stop there.

and to be honest we liked the place so much we booked an other night on our way home but that was because we wanted to say hello again as we had the feeling we left as friends.

the best way to have an idea on the place is to visit the webpage called 'leboisrond' in Mayenne

we will stop again for sure and hope all the other B&Bs we visit will be as nice!

Room Tip: from wht i remember there are 3 rooms, one for 2 poeple, one for 4 and one for 3 but only visited th...

Myself, my wife and our two small children always stay here on our way to my parents' house in the south. It's an idyllic spot in the country surrounded by farmland, with a safe enclosed garden and yard where the children can play - including slides and a climbing frame, chickens roaming around, and goats to see.

The owners are unfailingly friendly and helpful, the house and rooms are beautifully laid out and kept, and breakfast is a feast including home-made and home-grown food. As a coeliac with a strictly limited gluten-free diet, staying somewhere outside my home is ever a worry, but I've always been looked after with great care here.

I can't recommend L'Oree highly enough.

Great place to stay...

We were relaxing in our contemporary, stylist, good size bedroom in the barn conversation where has a large lounge with comfortable sofa and tea/coffee facilities with dining area for the guests too...
Our bedroom was big enough to accommodate us and our german shepard dog too with a great view to the garden and its life...the bathroom also good size with all handy staff provided.
Home-made breakfast...you can't wish for better... home-baked breads, cakes with jams and farm eggs...
We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and went out for special dinner to the next village -the place has been recommended by Wendy, our landlady... thanks for it too...
Lots of to do and see near by too...from history to canoeing or only for good walks...
And of course, if you don't speak French... no worries...Wendy speaks English too!!!

I hope we can return to this lovely family run B&B for more relaxing time...

Room Tip: Choose this room if you like comfortable bed... and morning sunshine...

We have been here 5-6 times now and will definitely be returning.
The bedrooms are excellent there is everything you could want and the bed is so comfy, the breakfast is next to none, there is so much choice and we love the home-made bread, jam and yoghurts.
The facilities near by are very good and there are many places of interest to visit.
I would definitely recommend this B&B...........
