“Great situation”

Just had 4 nights here to do some tramping. The lodge is well situated, well equipped, and extremely comfortable, particularly on an inclement day. Scott is very helpful with ideas and easy to get on with. It may seem a bit expensive but it is a treat and well worth it if you are lucky with the weather.

We stayed here for one night, had a night in the beautiful AT park and then another night back at Marahau Lodge. On return we were offered what I assume must be the honeymoon suite. It was huge and very well furnished. Both rooms we stayed in were tastefully decorated and absolutely spotlessly clean. Parking is available right outside your door. The gardens are well maintained and peaceful. Abel Tasman park is a short walk away and a water taxi company run from literally 100m away. There are 3 restaurants really close by that are a good standard. We only met Scott and he was very helpful in giving information about the area. We would certainly recommend staying here.

The staff was fantastic and the rooms were spacious and well-equipped. The place was a bargain at about $140/night right. Apparently, the rooms are going to be redone soon.

They had laundry and a kitchen as well.

This was by far the best lodge we stayed at on our 3 week family trip all over NZ. Owners are amazingly friendly and helpful couple and it shows in how efficient this place is. Kitchen has anything your heart desires and it very clean. Rooms are very comfortable. Most importantly this lodge is very close to the beach and all hiking in the Abel Tasman NP.

Hi Arijana B. We are so thrilled you enjoyed your stay at our place - and great to know you think we are doing things right. We are glad that our guests are getting such good use out of our communal kitchen, its nice to hear that you feel we have it set up well.
Thanks for the lovely recommendation.

We stayed two nights here while hiking at Abel Tasman Park, and were so impressed with the clean, tasteful, and pleasant accommodations, the incredibly helpful host and hostess, and the beautiful location. We were able to catch up on laundry, sleep, and to satiate ourselves on the beauty of the park.
There are three restaurants within a short walking distance, and they worked out well. We'd return in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: With the exception of a next door neighbor who had a bad cough, we heard no other noises. Abel Tasma...

Great comfortable accommodation, friendly owners who have thought of everything we might need & couldn't do enough for us. Definitely recommended as a place to stay at the end of a walk in AbelTasman Park.

We only stayed here one night, but it was a wonderful experience. It's in an absolutely gorgeous place, walking distance from the start of the Abel Tasman Coast Track (which was perfect for us), the rooms are excellently appointed, and the staff are amazingly helpful. We had many questions and they quickly and happily answered all of them, and even, we felt, went above and beyond. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stay here.
