“Very relaxing place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

I have been at Cap Maison last week with my wife and two teenagers. Excellent stay in a 2 bedroom suite with a seaview and a small pool. Service and confort are of very high standard. Restaurant is the best one we have found in the area : we had some good diners in Gros Ilet and Rodney Bay, but this restaurant is clearly in a different league (being French, food is a critical part of the well being). The only minor regret is that the beach is a bit small (compared to other places in Rodney Bay).
As a conclusion, I would highly recommand this place to people looking for a quiet and luxuous place, more confidential than typical large "american style" resorts.

We recently visited Cap Maison for the first and major part of our trip to St Lucia. Our room was a garden view on the first floor with the living room overlooking a small pool. The room (in actual fact a suite) consisted of a very large bedroom including and a chaise-longue and a walk-in wardrobe (with iron and board) which was great to keep the bedroom tidy. The room included a large ensuite shower very tastefully decorated. Small tip - the hot water takes a few minutes to run through the pipes till it can be felt. The living room included sofa and arm chairs with TV, dvd player, tea/coffee-making facilities, minibar. The suite was very airy as both the bedroom and living room had huge apertures with wooden shutters which could be opened fully or partially as desired. The balcony overlooking the pool was spacious with table and chairs and also two comfortable easy chairs. We spent a lot of time in the balcony which not only offerred a lovely view but was a relaxing spot for eating, reading, lazing about or having a drink. The hotel is beautiful, all rooms painted in bright white with beautifully landscaped gardens, and abundant with flowers and birds. Birds were constant breakfast companions. The breakfast at The Cliff restaurant was good and located in a lovely spot facing Pigeon Island. The Cliff also offers lunch and dinner which we found great and will review separately. We spent a few hours at the lovely beach below which is just a minute's walk from the hotel. The beach is open to hotel residents and public alike. Deckchairs and towels are provided by the hotel. Staff service was impeccable. Room service was delivered within 10 minutes and we ordered this on several occasions. Turndown service is offerred too. All staff were very polite and extremely helpful and did really leave a great impression on us. We also highly recommend Charlie who drove us around on several occasions to and from restaurants in nearby Rodney Bay as well as Marigot Bay and Castries and could also offer tours of the island's main attractions. The location is great since most restaurants are situated in Rodney Bay within 15 minutes' drive from the hotel. This is the main spot for night life in St Lucia. We did visit the South part of the island for 3 days at the end of our stay in St Lucia and found that it was more practical to get to Rodney Bay while in the North due to the distance. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings considering the hotel was quite full of guests up until the last day when a noisy group arrived. We highly recommend this hotel to couples and would love to revisit it again.

Room Tip: First floor garden view gives a pretty internal view of the complex from the balcony, is close to po...

Thank you very much for your review and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us at Cap Maison.

It was great to read that you enjoyed your Garden View Room and I have to mention the lady who designed our beautiful gardens - Ms Veronica Shingleton-Smith a lovely lady who has worked on many of the great gardens within St Lucia.

So pleased that you enjoyed your location and the location of the resort being close to the Rodney Bay area.

Thank you for your recommendation and we look forward to your return in the future

Kind regards

Ross

Our stay at Cap Maison was a dream! We could not have chosen a better place to enjoy our honeymoon. The location on the island is absolutely picturesque and the suites and grounds are gorgeous! Our suite was quite large, with wonderful amenities, an outdoor shower and a private plunge pool surrounded by tall flowering plants for added privacy. Our suite was situated at the corner of the property, overlooking the beach that boasted clear, turquoise water, floats, a waterside hammock, and a beach bar with excellent drinks and delicious fresh food. We ate lunch at the beach bar every day and were delighted with each meal. I’ve read some reviews lamenting the walk up/down the beach stairs as well as the size of the beach, but I can assure you that the stairs take only a minute and that the beach is the perfect size if you are looking for a romantic, secluded setting. The Cliff at Cap restaurant was a wonderful bonus to our trip – excellent food, service and a truly stunning view! We celebrated Valentine’s Day with dinner on Rock Maison and took advantage of the champagne zip line which was a treat! The staff is very warm and accommodating, honoring every request to ensure us a wonderful and relaxing stay.

If you are seeking a romantic setting and a relaxing, indulgent vacation, I highly recommend Cap Maison. My husband and I look forward to our next visit!

My fiance and I had the pleasure of visiting Cap Maison about 2 weeks ago and it truly was a beautiful experience. The resort was stunning and the service was astounding. We went with the all-inclusinve package and were more than impressed with the award winning chef's. I am a steak lover and the first meal I had after our arriving was perfectly prepared fillet mignon w/baby potatoes. All I can say is mmmmmmmm.....delish!

If you are considering Cap Maison, I very highly reccomend it for your lavish, relaxing getaway. Make sure to get the full body massage, you won't be disappointed!

Cheers!

Beautiful location, great rooms, great team who took the time to get to know us. Only one restaurant on the resort which can be a little challenging when everyone at the resort shows up at the same time.

Thank you very much for your review which you posted following your stay with us in February it is greatly appreciated

It was great to read that you both enjoyed your time spent with us and yes when everyone descends at once to the restaurant it can get a bit hectic!!

I suppose it’s the "vacation thing" guests are so relaxed they forget to make reservations ;)

It was lovely to have you stay and we hope to welcome you back in the near future

Kind regards

We went for our honeymoon and wanted a place where we could relax, spend some quality time together. We got more than we could have asked for. The suite was 2 floors with 3 balconies and a private saline pool on the roof over-looking the Caribbean. The beach was a 2 min walk and had a private feel with services for CM residents only. We arrived later in the day and ate at The Cliff restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised when the food was not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. The somalier was very knowledgeable and helpful with our selections and hosted an excellent tasting in their wine-cellar based on our preferences from earlier in the week. It was also very refreshing to see and spend time with some of the owners of this family-run boutique. We can't wait to go back and will always remember our amazing week there.
