5-Star for The Villages. Granted, it's no Ritz-Carlton, but it is as close as you can get for The Villages. POINTS: Cleanliness, Great Location, beautiful facilities, helpful & cheerful staff. The rest of available hotels cannot compare AT ALL....they are chain motel-hotel types (Holiday Inn, Comfort, etc) and bare-bones.....which are okay, but those are quick-stays for ($tight) visiting relatives etc.....but if you want to stay somewhere special.....somewhere you will truly enjoy the facility itself....a notch or two above the others....then the Waterfront Inn is THE ONLY place to stay. Located on Lake Sumter Landing with shops & restaurants at your convenience.....nightly live music at the Landing....you will probably pay $20-30 more per night than the others but you will have a much more overall enjoyable experience making it worth the extra change. If you're staying a week or more? They will negotiate rates.....don't be shy, If you don't ask you won't get it. Don't stay anywhere else. BTW, It's pretty popular so don't expect to get a room at the last minute.....plan ahead and you'll be happy that you did!

Our state officers of the Lions Club has used this hotel the past 2 years for our first organizational meeting. The setting is lovely and we had a view of the pool and the man made lake. The pool was comfortable and the beds were super.AC kept the room nice and cool.We had breakfast in the dinig room the first morning and found the staff very helpful and prices reasonable. We were within walking distance of many fine restaurants.I had lost a nice gold earring somewhere and within 20 miles of leaving the Inn I got a call that they had found it.

We plan to return again next year.

Wile visiting relatives we had the occasion to spend two nights at the Waterfront Inn. The hotel is very clean, the rooms comfortable, with a nice pool and view of (manmade) Lake Sumter. We were completely satisfied with the hotel. It was within walking distance of the Lake Sumter town square; with restaurants an shopping and the Villages shuttle from Orlando Airport is very convenient to the hotel. Oh, and the room rate was very reasonable as well.

We stayed here after closing on our new home in The Villages. The room was extremely comfortable. The bed was great and the air conditioning was regulated by a thermostat which worked great. It had a great love seat to sit in and watch TV. The best part was the walk in shower with a double shower head! We will stay here again soon.
