“Affordable Luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2011

This is a wonderful hotel in our community and we have on occasion done a little getaway weekend, even though it is only 10 minutes away on our golf cart. There is shopping within walking distance, a boardwalk around the lake and entertainment 7 days a week on the Town Square, also a walk away. Excellent !!!

Room Tip: Go on line and take a virtual tour. Very helpful

I have stayed here twice now for business. Its a very lovely hotel. Very clean rooms and well appointed bathrooms. It's also in a perfect location in which you can walk to restaurants and shopping. The staff are very friendly as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the lake when making your reservation.

I visited with my mother-in-law as she was looking for a new house in The Villages. The lobby was clean and we got an upgrade to a balcony room. The room was spacious but had several stains on the floor. The a/c was very loud and you really couldn't fine a comfy temp, either too hot or too cold, always adjusting. It was so loud that it kept my mother-in-law awake (I wore ear plugs) There was also a spider in my bed when I turned it down which I didn't like. (bugs are a big thing in Florida) The room did have double sinks in the bathroom, a small fridge, microwave and there was free coffee in the lobby in the morning along with a breakfast buffett for $10 (we didn't partake). We ended up checking out the next day and stayed in a rental in The Villages (because the mother-in-law was purchasing a home) I would look elsewhere when you stay. (There is a Holiday Inn and a Hampton that looked nice and had better reviews)

Room Tip: Book a lake view and ask for a upgrade

Stayed here when the entire family was visiting our parents in The Villages, so some of us had to stay in a hotel. The rooms are good, clean. Refrigerator and coffee maker are convenient. We had a lake side room which was really nice - had a balcony and sat outside to drink coffee each morning. Pool was good, but location of it meant little sun so it was a bit cool in December. Can walk right into the town square which was convenient and nice. Grocery store right nearby to pick up basics for room

Room Tip: Ask for lake-front!

Stayed at the Waterfront Inn on July 7, 2011 for one night before my rental home was available in The Villages. The Waterfront Inn is located in Lake Sumter Landing, one of the 2 town squares in The Villages. Lake Sumter Landing has several shops and restaurants which are in walking distance of the Waterfront Inn. There is a supermarket, Sweetbay, about 3 minutes drive from the Waterfront Inn. The hotel itself was very nice, staff very friendly. I would not hesitate to stay there again. For those who are wondering if you can park golf carts in the Waterfront Inn parking lot, there were about 4 golf carts parked in the Waterfront Inn lot on the night I was there, so I'm assuming these carts were used by hotel guests renting the carts while staying at The Villages.

In less than a year we have been to this hotel about 5 times! This time it was chosen by my 6 year old daughter. She wanted her "Disney" trip to end here. I think it's a comfortable stay close to everything you can imagine! And When I say "close" I mean walking distance! The beds are super comfy and clean. The showers have doble shower heads so you feel great just by taking a shower! The staff is super sweet and helpful. The pool is small, but nice and relaxing. This hotel has NO "extra fees" on the other hand, it has free WiFi, free parking and a nice flat screen tv. The breakfast is really good and you can have all you can eat from the buffet and request for eggs to be made the way you desire. Coffe, Juice and all you can eat buffet is $10 for adults and $6 for children. I can't say enough about this place! My husband loves it and my 6 and 11 year old can't wait till we go back!

My parents live in the Villages and we stayed at the Waterfront when we visited them. The hotel was as lovely inside as it is outside. The lobby has a bar and restaurant and there is a nice pool and patio out back. A few nights a week there is live music. The hotel sits right on Lake Sumter and is adjacent to the "downtown" area which is full of restaurants and shops. This would be a fun place to stay even if you were not here to visit family.

The hotel is very clean and beautifully decorated. There are comfortable places to hang out all around the grounds. Our room was spacious and quiet. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, and the bathroom was nicely done with good towels and nifty spa-style bath products. The Wifi worked perfectly and there was a large flat screen television. My husband appreciated that the room had many places to plug in and charge your electronics.

Staff was great especially the lovely housekeepers who work hard to keep everything nice. We had a great stay and thought the Waterfront Inn was reasonably priced given the location and features which put it a notch above your typical chain motel.

Room Tip: Ask for the discount if a family is local
