We went to the Lighthouse for lunch based on our friend's recommendation who works in the Villages. We were not disappointed. The restaurant, which sits on the edge of a small lake, has windows all around and outside dining.
There's a saying that you eat first with your eyes, and this restaurant was no exception. The five of us all ordered something different and each plate looked delicious. Everyone commented on how great the food tasted. I ordered Kaleb's Caribbean Chicken, a "marinated chicken breast, mandarin oranges and grilled pineapple topped with chipotle ranch dressing, fried onions, lettuce and tomatoes. served on a grilled pretzel bun." A unique and tasty combination of flavors.

Not only were the meals great, the wait staff was friendly and the casual 'open' ambiance made us want to just sit there and socialize.
Entrée prices were a dollar or two higher than most family restaurants, but not out of line. We will definitely go back.
