“A tradition in The Villages”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Whenever my family gathers in The Villages, we always end up at Red Sauce for at least one meal. Weekends are always very busy and we expect the wait, we know it will be worth it. The spaghetti with HUGE meatballs is great, but I usually go for the veal scallopini ... though I was disappointed last time (but what is as good as your first time). The have great drinks and the wait staff is always friendly and helpful. Not a cheap eats place, but the quality is high and the servings are generous.

“One restaurant always to go back to ..Lake Sumter”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

The food...especially the appetizers....great drinks and a most positive helpful wait staff. A very well managed restaurant on the corner downtown Sumter Landing.

“Be Prepared for Long Waits”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

We were here with friends on St. Patrick's Day and the 15 minute wait time turned into 45 minutes. That being said, the food was good; I had the half order of chicken primavera and my husband had the sausage garganelli. The food was plated nicely, was served hot and was well prepared. A jarring note was when our waitress refilled our water glasses and it turns out she had topped them off from a pitcher of Sprite/7 up.

“Not a good value for the money!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Stopped by Red Sauce and looked at the menu and found they had NY strips on special for $24 (that's a special price); all their entree menus were expensive ($18 to $24). The draft beers were 1.75 each and not a bad value. My wife and I had two small salads and five draft beers and the bill was $30. If you are looking for excellent value on some good steak dinners, go to Glenn View CC. The wait staff at Red Sauce was pleasant and helpful. Don't bother eating here while in the villages, there are better and cheaper places to eat ( the draft beer is a good value, drink them outside and listen to the music in Sumter Square).

“Good food great service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

Went there on the advice of some friends. The food was good our server andy (excuses if I misspelled) was great. She took the time to explain the menu to my mother and father who don't eat Italian very much. Even came by and politely explain there had been a problem with the printer and my lobster ravioli was a little late going in. Andy mentioned the half portions which were a great option for my parents.
