“Small but interesting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

A very small collection of Roman artefacts which are nicely laid out. It's a pity that it is not more extensive.

“Fantastic Free Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

You can spend a whole day visiting the four different free Roman museum sites in Caerleon. Take a picnic of visit one of the local pubs when you need a break. The children love visiting here time and time again. The staff are fantastic and always take time to talk to the children. The activities are free or a nominal charge - all extremely good value for money. Adults and children alike always come away knowing something new about the Romans and what they did for us.

“excellent day out, and it's all free!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Spent a lovely few hours enjoying the main museum, the baths and the amphitheatre. It was a fine day, so it was nice to walk between the various Roman sites. Pick up a map in the tourist centre to make the most of your trip. A great way to engage with the past, and it's free entry. Plus, there are lots of places to eat or grab a drink in the village. Had a poor experience at the Priory opposite the museum, but would highly recommend the Snug at the Fwrrwm centre.

“Highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

I did not know about this until i picked up a leaflet in Cardiff, i am so glad i did being very interested in Roman history.
First the Roman Baths all undercover, so well maintained and so much information then onto the Roman Legion Museum again a great attraction with so much historical facts and information with the biggest display of artifacts i have seen.
Finally onto the Amphitheatre and barracks which is just 100 yards down the road.
All this and free admission, highly recommended

“Really fantastic set of museums”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

Had a wonderful day out visiting the roman sites in Caerleon, with a highlight being the Roman Baths and the exceptional interpretation of the ruined site. Can't recommend highly enough.
