We absolutely should have stayed for a few more days at Casa di Maio. Doreen was an amazing hostess and made us feel completely comfortable as soon as we arrived. We were greeted with a bottle of local wine and snacks after a long car journey.
The rooms are spotless, well appointed, and thoughtfully put together. Doreen made sure that we had everything we needed and had fabulous recommendations about local sights, restaurants, and wineries. She provided us with detailed directions and armed us with maps so we wouldn't get lost.
The highlight are her breakfasts which were nice departure from the cornettos and cappuccinos we'd been having for breakfast in Italian cafes up to that point. Doreen prepares a sumptuous array for breakfast ranging from yogurt, granola, soft boiled eggs, fresh baked croissants, frittatas, and more - she is an amazing chef!
