I recently stayed here with my husband and small baby. We didn't necessarily seek to stay here (we were in Koh Samui for a wedding and this was one of the nearby accommodation options) but we were very pleasantly surprised with what we found.
We stayed in a pool villa on the beach side of the resort. It was absolutely perfect for us, as we could take our little bub swimming in our own private pool and not have to worry about other people splashing around. It also meant that we could swim whilst bub was napping which gave us a lot more flexibility than most bigger resorts.
Our room was beautifully decorated with thai furniture. The bed was a gorgeous four poster and there was also a small sitting area off to the side with a day bed and tv.
The bathroom had the biggest bath tub I've ever seen. Overall the bathroom could have done with an update as the shower recess was quite old and unattractive. This would be my only complaint about the room though.
The villa pool was quite small and shallow (only came up to my waist) but I liked this feature as it was definitely kid-friendly and there was a bigger pool (as well as the ocean) only about 50 metres away if you wanted to splash around and actually swim. Please note though that there is no pool safety fencing at all - our bub is not yet crawling so this wasn't a problem for us but could be for people with toddlers.
The service at the resort was wonderful. We were greeted with a welcome drink and advice that we had been given a free upgrade from our original booking. The front counter staff were always on call to assist wherever possible (taxi transfers/spa bookings/etc).
There is a restaurant on the beach at the resort that makes both Thai and western dishes. We only ordered the thai dishes and they were absolutely delicious. Breakfast was a little limited (very small portion of bacon and eggs) but was sufficiently supplemented with fresh fruit, toast and endless coffee. The restaurant staff were all very welcoming and attentive.
The location of the resort is a bit out of the way for people wanting to explore the island without independent transport. Essentially, it is as far away from the airport and Chewang as you can possibly get. That said, they do offer a free one-way shuttle to Chewang and the distance makes for a lovely, quiet getaway if that is what you're after.
Overall, I really loved my stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere quiet and secluded without having to break the bank to achieve it. It is also very easy for families.
