“Great place in Britanny”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

Beautiful area where the sea is omnipresent. And as a bonus you get the isle of les Ebihens (Archipel des Ebihens) where the shades of the sea nearly have the colours of a tropical island.

“Go at low tide just to walk the vast beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

Quite a wonderful experience at low tide, walk to the island, see the oyster beds and mussels up close.

“terrific beaches”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2012

The Emerald Coast, which roughly runs east of St Malo until Brehat, where the Pink Granite Coast begins, has many fabulous beaches, where the enormous tide sweeps in and out. None surpass the beaches surrounding the peninsula town of St Jacut de la Mer. The best of them, Pointe de Chevet, lies at the end of Bd du Chevet. The sweeping bay faces north and – from spring until the end of September – has a terrific café and lifeguards. (Parking is free.) When the tide is out – and it goes out for as far as the eye can see – you can stroll across the sands to Ile des Hebihens. But be sure to start walking back before the tide turns. It roars in so quickly that it is easy – and potentially fatal – to be cut off.
