We stayed 2 nights in La Maison de Juliette with friends who were there before.
We had a great resting weekend, enjoying the beautiful decoration, quite atmosphere, very nice garden and great hosts.
The meal (table d'hôte) was delicious in really nice company, and breakfast (including marshmallow ;-)) was a special treat :-)
We highly recommend that chambre d'hôte to anybody sensitive to nice atmosphere, sensible people and delicate taste :-)
Merci pour tout :-)
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- ituated close to Montbéliard, “The City of Princes” and the foothills of the Jura mountains, our lovingly restored country house awaits you.La maison de Juliette dates from the early 20th Century and was one of the residences of famous JAPY dynasty. The Maison de Juliette rises majestically in the centre of a park of century old trees. Under the eves, we have created a suite consisting of two inter-communicating rooms where exposed beams frame a pallet of pearl grey and mauve achieving the cosy atmosphere of family homes of a bygone era.In the grounds, we have also converted the outbuilding, ‘Le petit atelier ‘ into a guest house with two independant double bedrooms, each with its own entrance overlooking the garden. In each room original materials salvaged from the old workshop have been imaginatively integrated into the new design creating a beautiful, light space with poetic echoes of times past.Set in a large tranquil garden, La maison de Juliette offers peace and tranquillity within easy reach of the A36 motorway and the Eurovelo cycle route. ... more less
