“A fabulous little find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2011

We stayed over for a one night stay on a Saturday night. The hotel was lovely & clean and the room, clean and a great size. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and welcoming and allowed us a late checkout as the hotel was quiet. We opted for a breakfast which was lovely, I recommend the full English. The room itself was excellent and we had our own private door so could come and go as we pleased. Excellent location, 2 min walk to the promenade then a ten minute walk into the centre. Would recommend The Ashmount for a lovely peaceful stay.

Room Tip: Excellent location, price and service

A nice quiet B&B in a quiet street a 100 yards from the promenade. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy, and the breakfasts superb. Pete and Judith the owners are lovely people and nothing was too much trouble for them. We would recomend the Ashmount for a peaceful stay to anyone who wants to get around this beautiful part of Wales,as Rhos on Sea has a good bus service.

We stayed for just one night and would not delay in coming back. The hotels location is excellent being a few minutes walk from the beach/promenade and equidistant from Colwyn Bay and Llandudno.
The room was excellent with very comfortable pillows and we had no trouble sleeping. The furnishing looked new and the bathroom spacious with a good shower and a bath!

Owner was extremely helpful and could not do more to make your stay a good one.

The only thing I did find a disappointment was that to add breakfast for both of us for one monring would cost £16. It is a little excessive at £8 each or it would have to be a very good breakfast!

We spent 2 nights at the ashmount with our three children. The owners went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, including having a variety of garden toys fir our kids to play with while we lounged in the sun. A stones throw from the beach, a short walk to kids playground and outdoor paddling pool and rhos quaint shopping cafes and shops. Only 10 mins from north Wales zoo! Excellent location for activities but away from the hustle and bustle. Spotlessly clean throughout, a huge bonus in my eyes!

This is now the hotel we always stay in when visiting family in Wales. We have tried a few others. The atmosphere is very relaxed. I like the way the owners remember us when we go back. It is spotlessly clean - I can't cope otherwise. The sea is just up the road - great for early morning refreshing walks.

We usually stay in the family room with a double and 2 bunk beds. Crisp white cotton sheets which I love. Small flat screen tvs on the wall with remote. Nice towels. Breakfast is always excellent. Spacious dining room. They do the option now of room only or room with breakfast. Sometimes if I stay there on my own I will do room only and then go to my parents for breakfast nearby.

Tasty full breakfast, cosy, yet spacious room with wi-fi.
Located quietly, yet not far from anything in the Colwyn Bay-area.

We found the Ashmount through Trip Advisor and was pleased with the experience. We had been on our trip for a couple of weeks by then and arriving at the Ashmount was like a bit of home. We were warmly greeted, told of the hot spots around town, advised of places to tour and given great breakfast's. The room we had was spacious, clean and had an ensuite. They had free internet access which was important for us at the end of a busy day. The hotel was just down the road from the fabulous sea with an amazing boardwalk. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
